2D (talk · contribs) I've been on Wikipedia for several months now and I want to know what other users thinks of my contributions. It'd be nice to receive criticism from other editors. DavidWS (contribs) 14:32, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

  • Lose the attitude in your reviews. If you are removing something because you think it's an ad, fine. But don't say it isn't factual when it actually is. Or decide its helpful when you have no idea what it does.
However, around 5/6 of your edits have been made with automated tools. I would recommend getting involved in some other areas of Wikipedia, perhaps watchlisting some of the noticeboards, and commenting if you see some thread where you think you can lend a hand. Also, watching and reading the noticeboards can help you to get an idea of what makes Wikipedia tick, as well as teach you some things about people in general. Getting more involved in article writing would also be good. (...says the guy who made more than 100,000 edits with Huggle... ;-) )
Overall, you are doing a good job, but spreading to other areas that interest you would definitely not hurt. J.delanoygabsadds 16:59, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Yes, I am very happy with my vandal-fighting work. While it may not be article building, I feel that ridding Wikipedia of people trying to destroy the encyclopedia is just as constructive at building articles. I am also proud of my only article above stub class, The Three Doctors (motivational speakers).
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I occasionally lose my cool when dealing with trolls, and I know I shouldn't do this. I need to become better about controlling anger in those types of situations.
