- Hi, User:PBS. :) That one looks to have been a backwards copying situation. Take, for instance, the following sentence: "The unit was raised in Johannesburg for service in the Second Anglo-Boer War by Major Aubrey Woolls-Sampson, Major Walter Karri-Davies, Sir Percy Fitzpatrick and Captain Charles Mullins, it was named the Imperial Light Horse with the approval of Queen Victoria." When originally placed on Wikipedia, that sentence read "The unit was founded during the Second Anglo-Boer War as the Reformers Regiment in September 1899 by Colonel Aubrey Woolls-Sampson, Major Walter Davies, Sir Percy Fitzpatrick and Captain Charles Mullins, although it was soon renamed the Imperial Light Horse Regiment. It was changed to be more like the external source here. If you look further down that same diff, we see the evolution of the sentence "After the end of World War II, the Regiment was reformed as an armoured regiment and equipped with Sherman tanks. " into "The Regiment was reformed as an armoured regiment in South Africa's reserve forces and equipped with Sherman tanks in 1949." The external source says "The Regiment was reformed as an armoured regiment in South Africa's Citizen Force and equipped with Sherman tanks in 1949." Several months later, we see "Both Regiments took part in South Africa's "Border War" in Northern South West Africa" become "Both Regiments took part in the South African Border War in Northern South-West Africa...." - this change is reflected in the external source. Another editor fixes a typo here - that typo does not occur in the external source. Late in 2007, we see an IP begin adding some new information about the Uitlander Regiment. This information will evolve into the form in which it appears in the external source. That same IP makes other changes which appear in the external source. Among other incremental changes, this edit in 2008 corrects a name; the corrected form appears in the external source. Thereafter, a review of several substantial changes does not see the change reflected in the external source. Changes to the article are fine, I'm sure, but I think not necessary from a copyright standpoint. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:00, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

- Thanks for the review. Sigh this means that most of the text article has no source. I will look into that as a separate issue. -- PBS (talk) 15:10, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
