[edit]- Gene expression programming (history · last edit · rewrite) from http://www.gene-expression-programming.com/GepBook/Chapter2/Section1/SS1.htm http://www.gene-expression-programming.com/GepBook/Chapter2/Section1/SS2.htm http://www.gene-expression-programming.com/GepBook/Chapter2/Section1/SS3.htm. 91.52.40.49 (talk) 11:40, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
- See Talk:Gene expression programming#Copyright_issue. Apparently there should be an email underway that licenses the contents for Wikipedia. --91.52.40.49 (talk) 20:30, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
- Here is a link to the [license of the original content] (Commons and GFDL) Bartolrod (talk) 08:33, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
- Note that Commons requires "attribution" and I believe so does GFDL. So to my understanding, the way the text was copied into Wikipedia does not preserve the attribution to the origial authors and as such does currently constitute a copyright violation. It probably can be fixed by giving proper attribution to the original sources. --91.52.50.26 (talk) 09:27, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- I cannot see how that is problem. At the moment the page cannot be changed due to the copyright investigation but as soon as this is cleared the attribution can be added by anyone.Bartolrod (talk) 14:24, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- This needs to be investigated. GFDL is not good for Wikipedia. CC-BY-3.0 might do, but only if the required attribution is preserved, since as far as I can tell CC-BY-3.0 is CC-BY-SA-3.0 compatible. So the one thing really missing seems to be proper attribution. I'm not entirely sure, but it may be sufficient to place a permanent note (maybe there is a template for this) on the articles Talk page, pointing to the book license page. --91.52.32.135 (talk) 09:28, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- An OTRS ticket (ticket:2012101410004302) was received stating that all text/images is released under
"Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0" (unported) and GNU Free Documentation License (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts)

OTRS Ticket received, article now licensed and compatible with CC-BY-SA. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:55, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
- Bohemia (musician) (history · last edit · rewrite) "Bohemia India Tour 2011" is from http://www.thousandthoughts.com/lp/tag/bohemia-musician/. Most of the article reads like it was copied from various places. I've removed the most blatant, but there are many others (such as the one given here) where the direction of the copying is unclear. -- Mrmatiko (talk) 16:59, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
Article cleaned by investigator or others. No remaining infringement. One passage removed. The bulk of the biography section seems to have evolved naturally beginning here. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:11, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
Alexandrium monilatum (history · last edit · rewrite) from http://www.sms.si.edu/irlspec/Alexan_monila.htm. Fjozk (talk) 19:59, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
Article cleaned by investigator or others. No remaining infringement. I'm not sure what happened here, but the tagger rewrote and the original creator replaced the content with the rewrite. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:14, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
- Maersk Line Limited (history · last edit) Copied and pasted from http://www.maersklinelimited.com. VWBot (talk) 00:19, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
Article cleaned by investigator or others. No remaining infringement. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:17, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
