Copyright investigations (manual article tagging)
[edit]
The moment I began to add references and new material, and to rewrite the article in keeping with Wikipedia norms, Deor swooped down with a tag that does not allow it to be improved. I can understand tagging articles where there are no active editors working on it, but to do so in this situation strikes me as being unnecessarily hostile and combative, not to mention scaring off a newbie editor who made her first edits in April 2012 and has no idea why this is happening. Deor left a supposedly "explanatory" note after I intervened--Geewhiz (talk) 09:09, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You deleted the {{Copyviocore}} template (which the notice displayed by the template explicitly says not to do), thus restoring the copyright-violating material to view; and although you then added a bit of material, your minor wording tweaks to the infringing material have not made it other than a copyvio. As I told you on your talk page, if you want to rewrite the material in your own words (not a close paraphrase), you should create a subpage on which to do so by following the instructions in the copyvio notice.
