- Royal Dutch Shell environmental issues (history · last edit) and Royal Dutch Shell market manipulation cases (history · last edit) From Multiple urls, too many to list, all used as references in the articles. Copyrighted quotations have been used to construct the article, in excess of any fair use. I think this may have qualified for speedy deletion, but to be careful I'll list it as probable. Note that two similar pages have also been recently (~1month) been deleted due to other problems - in particular the use of the page as an attack page, and conflict of interest issues originating from User:Johnadonovan , see User_talk:Johnadonovan#Shell_articles_cleanup for details. Thus any attempt at repair would need to take these issues into account too. Anyone interested in the content please feel free to discuss at Talk:Royal_Dutch_Shell#Related_article_copyright_problems Sf5xeplus (talk) 20:33, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
- There was one clean version of Royal Dutch Shell environmental issues supplied by User:Johnadonovan, but I could not revert to it because it would not survive:
Royal Dutch Shell is engaged in a variety of business activities across the world which of necessity involves the extraction, production, handling, processing and transportation of hazardous products, including hydrocarbons and chemicals. The scale of operation means that even with the highest safety and maintenance standards, incidents are likely to occur. The record of incidents detailed in this article should be considered in that context.
- Copyright concerns entered in the very next edit. There was no way to truncate the overuse of non-free content in this article or the other without completely restructuring and rewriting, and nobody proposed such a rewrite. The ground has been cleared, and new articles can be created as appropriate without overreliance on copyrighted content. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:35, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
