Copyright investigations (manual article tagging)
[edit]
There was one clean version of Royal Dutch Shell environmental issues supplied by User:Johnadonovan, but I could not revert to it because it would not survive:

Royal Dutch Shell is engaged in a variety of business activities across the world which of necessity involves the extraction, production, handling, processing and transportation of hazardous products, including hydrocarbons and chemicals. The scale of operation means that even with the highest safety and maintenance standards, incidents are likely to occur. The record of incidents detailed in this article should be considered in that context.

Copyright concerns entered in the very next edit. There was no way to truncate the overuse of non-free content in this article or the other without completely restructuring and rewriting, and nobody proposed such a rewrite. The ground has been cleared, and new articles can be created as appropriate without overreliance on copyrighted content. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:35, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
