SCV for 2010-10-25 Edit

Copyright investigations (manual article tagging)
[edit]
  • Article cleaned by investigator or others. No remaining infringement. Keeping an eye on to make sure it doesn't come back. Will rev delete if necessary, but would prefer not since there's many hundreds of edits twixt here and its introduction in October 2007. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:05, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Article cleaned by investigator or others. No remaining infringement. Seems to be, though I don't generally evaluate these as carefully as I would a CCI. When the content is authored by somebody else and I don't see copying from the problematic article, I presume its clear. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:38, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • While there's an assertion that the linkedin page was copied from Wikipedia, there was a substantial change in the article here which changed it to almost directly match the linkedin article, and it has since evolved slightly away from the linkedin article, so I believe rolling it back to the version prior to that change is the safest course of action. A temp page rewrite was also created which contained most of the same text as the blanked article. VernoWhitney (talk) 13:55, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Article cleaned by investigator or others. No remaining infringement. If Mr. Howerton chooses to tell Wikipedia that he copied the content from us, we can restore it. Absent direct verification of that, we can't conclude reverse infringement, particularly given the dramatic introduction of the text in question. Earlier version restored. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:51, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
