While some people seem to think that is preferable, it actually is preferable to be renamed so that the old name doesn't sit reserved forever. The only edit you have to this Wikipedia is this request for rename. I would suggest simply creating a new account with your preferred username and not using this account. Also, if you want to keep your accounts unified, you can get a rename in the English Wikipedia, where you have some edits and can get an account here by simply opening Simple Wikipedia while logged in to the English Wikipedia with your requested username (that is, you don't have to create a separate account here). I've renamed you. It is just simpler to rename people when they ask. Doing so free's up the old name so others can take it. There is a substantial edit to one page a number of years ago which technically makes it impossible for you to Usurp the account. However sometimes cases can be made to ignore that.
