- Delete or merge This is an event in the history of the X Window System. Searching for the term is a little confusing because XWin has been used as a contraction of X-Windows and Cygwin may have also had an XWin product. If one could find a source for verification of the story (I could not), it would be suitable for a merge into the history section of the X Window System article. As the xwin forums no longer exist, this topic will probably not increase in notability. If we can't find a reliable source, then deletion is best.
