Keep: Made to model UOIT_Engineering_Students'_Society as an engineering society based on the undergraduate population of an engineering faculty in an Ontario-based post-secondary institution. Sources are a mix of official website and other news sources like the referenced page. Main Editor: 02:16, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
Delete. Wikipedia is not the place for a directory of every campus's student organizations. All universities with engineering programs have an engineering student organization which does their usual things. Much of the material in the article is too detailed for an encyclopedia and belongs instead on its web site. In fact most of it is a copy or close paraphrase of the web site and will have to be removed as copyright violations. As for other articles, see WP:OTHERSTUFF. Restore redirect to University of Waterloo Faculty of Engineering#Student life per Wikipedia:Deletion policy#Alternatives to deletion. This page was originally created as a redirect on 13 December 2012. I recommend restoring the redirect since the society does not pass Wikipedia:Notability#General notability guideline.

Keep: A very thorough page with what are likely the best sources available for an institution of its kind. Someone did a really nice job in putting this together - a sizable article full of interesting information that is supported by sources. And as I have said before, I don't understand why the nominator attempted to essentially blank the page before nomination. Restore Redirect Listing every campus club or student society is of no value, having that information inside the institutions page is the most appropriate space. In addition, the WP:NPOL specifically states that student orgs or elected positions at schools are not notable, and I am drawing a parallel to that here. ~RAM (talk) 05:50, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
