This is going to probably annoy some people, but hear me out; Shantae, as a video game series, is heavily discussed. Shantae as a *character* does not seem to be, after a heavy WP:BEFORE. The main problem is there's no way to separate the two, and outside of a MoeGamer article we can't use and a ComicBook.com source, this was the strongest source I could find, and even that is saying she has a huge fan following and not much in terms of commentary.

This isn't saying Shantae isn't an important character, just one that isn't discussed readily outside of her series. Most of what's said is from interviews with the dev team and coming from them themselves. Kung Fu Man (talk) 13:44, 16 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Delete: per nom. Would be open to merging with the series article and/or userfying as an ATD. It's a shame, as although I'm not familiar with the series she seems like an interesting character. Gommeh 📖 🎮 16:26, 16 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Merge with the Shantae series article: Unless there is substantial independent coverage available elsewhere, the character should be incorporated into its respective series article, with a dedicated section. I attempted to find additional sources specifically about the character, but the ones I found are strongly tied to the Shantae series itself, for example, this one. Merge - Definitely not something I want since I'm a fan of the series, but well again, the issue with main characters' (especially titular ones) articles are that most of their sources have to do more with the whole series than that character so. plant COAL 18:53, 16 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
