Just because a internet meme came from this website as well as Jeff Weise being a member their does not make the site notable. CuriousDrat (talk) 23:28, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Don't forget about Sirtom, Rig(Of Ugly Shepard), and Photoshop the Rock driving. There's plenty of site less worthy than Newgrounds.

NEWGROUNDS = THE BOMB IT WILL BE IN MY HEART. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.120.188.248 (talk) 23:51, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's more pages here that deserve deletion more than the newgrounds page. Did someone get banned by Poozy?
- Hmmm: I see a number of passing references to the site in reliable, independent sources, but I'm not sure that any of it's "significant coverage". The Fox News article is the closest [1]. It's more about a single game, but does have a fair amount of coverage of the site and it's owners. Is that enough to satisfy notability? Probably not. Let's see if any other, better sources are found. Buddy431 (talk) 01:21, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - Although I will abstain from !voting due to my involvement with the article, I must point out that this nomination was made by a user with no prior edits. Additionally, I must emphasize the substantial media attention that the website has received, probably the most for any website of its type. Not all of the attention is focused on individual users or submissions; some of it is focused directly at the website itself. It's also received some attention indirectly from The Behemoth. —LedgendGamer 05:12, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Alexa ranking under 1000 worldwide and under 500 for US traffic Alexa Many good RS's from Google News and it appears in books Google Books. 76.66.193.224 (talk) 05:49, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep I like to refer to it as "the YouTube before YouTube". It's been around for as long as I can remember, and has had coverage in a lot of places over its time. A lot of it is in offline sources, such as "Web site focuses on fun and games" in The Intelligencer, "Pop Quiz" in the San Jose Mercury News, and "NSFW: Newgrounds.com" in The Kansas City Star. - Keep, high Alexa ranking and popularity. Request may be vexatious. Stifle (talk) 10:36, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy Keep The user who posted the deletion tag also posted a thread on the NG Forums bragging about it. [2] It's obvious vandalism. Crimsonedge34 (talk) 12:12, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete: Because Poozy said so. Rohedin (talk) 13:25, 28 May 2010 (UTC)— Rohedin (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. [reply]
- Definitely Keep, Newgrounds is a very important part of Internet culture! Just because it isn't "OMGZ THE MOST POPULAR SITE EVAR!!1" doesn't mean we should delete it. So many things came from Newgrounds! And of course, this is an obvious troll since the Newgrounds BBS link pointed out here says it's "for the lulz". Seriously? Does the site have to be extremely notable to get a Wikipedia article? Of course not! Wikipedia should have articles about everything, that's the whole point! Sloshy42 (talk) 16:25, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy, speedy, speedy keep as per Sloshy42 (with exception of the everything part). Also looking at the nominator's contribs and account creation log, the user account was created just before this nomination was made, and the only edits made by the user was this AfD nomination and edits related to this. So based on Crimsonedge34's highlighting on similarly-named user on NG and LedgendGamer, this was either disruption to Wikipedia to prove a point or plain vandalism.
