The result was keep. Although I have not much sympathy for those who think WP is a newspaper and should have articles on any recent event, there obviously is broad consensus to keep this for now. Whether anything should be merged can be discussed on the respective talk pages. Anybody wanting to revisit this in 6 months is, of course, welcome to do so, although in my experience this rarely happens if a movement fizzles (see the whole slate of "Occupy" articles that nobody ever edits any more).
