Delete - non-notable local academic. Fails WP:GNG and WP:BIO. Are You The Cow Of Pain? (talk) 16:16, 22 September 2010 (UTC) Struck comment of indef-blocked sockpuppet. The nominator's opinion will be discounted in the closure decision per #3 WP:SK. QuAzGaA 16:05, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per lack of references demonstrating notability. -- roleplayer 21:00, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak delete - notability is marginal, but not nonexistent (e.g. chicago tribune articles). However, the newspaper articles have nothing to do with the academic career, which seems to be the main point of the article. Sailsbystars (talk) 18:07, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete Fails WP:BIO and WP:PROF in their incarnations. RayTalk 04:59, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy close and allow renomination by another editor if required. Nominator has been indef-blocked as a sockpuppet of indef-blocked abusive puppetmaster User:Otto4711. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 03:31, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Can't we just overcome that by me replacing Are You The Cow Of Pain? with Roleplayer in the nomination above? It would save a lot of hassle. -- roleplayer 11:03, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Indeed, WP:SK specifically addresses this situation (although it's kinda sad it happens often enough that we have a rule for it). The nominator's rationale will be discounted, the nomination will not be closed, and our comments will be considered. RayTalk 22:08, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak delete - I am the one who added the Chicago Tribune sources, which I can't read as they're behind a paywall. The blurb given, though, makes me think that Lee is not mentioned in detail (that is, the article's aren't about her, but just quote her). I'd say that Lee is close to being notable (and I wish we could show that she is), but, in the absences of more reliable sources, the article should be deleted now. I asked the original contributor to help us find more sources, but haven't heard anything yet. I would request that, if possible, the closing admin WP:USERFY to that contributor's sub-page in case they do eventually want and are able to demonstrate notability per policies.
