Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/How to adjust brakes

This is really a manual of how to do things, not an encyclopedic article at all. Should be taken out of Wikipedia and moved to (I forget where?)

[edit]- How to adjust brakes: This is probably useful to someone, but it doesn't really belong in an encyclopedia, does it? Is there somewhere where such an article may be more appropriate? There is an article on bicycle brake systems that is appropriate and that covers the subject from an encyclopedic pov. -- Egil 13:56, 3 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. One of a series of useful articles listed under bicycle repair. Fred Bauder 15:14, 3 Jan 2004 (UTC)

- A fine article, but one that should be in a "bike maintenance" wikibook. So move there, and delete here. -- Finlay McWalter 04:32, 4 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- Splendid! Presumably, all of Bicycle repair should be moved to Wikibooks. Egil
- Though it pains me to say it, putting bicycle repair in a general article quickly gets into "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing" territory. move it to Wikibooks. Maybe just keep the ubiquitous fixing a flat Dhodges
- Moved the following articles to Wikibooks: Bicycle repair, Fixing a flat, How to adjust brakes, Truing a bicycle wheel, Adjusting gears, Mending a broken chain, Yearly bicycle maintenance. I've put in pointers to Wikibooks in all of these. In addition, there are two redirects: Adjusting brakes, Truing a wheel. Suggest the pages are kept as redirects to Wikibooks. -- Egil 23:03, 4 Jan 2004 (UTC)
