Does not meet the notability criteria listed in WP:NSONGS; no evidence given that it has charted on a national music chart or anything else. Tagged for prod, prod contested (incorrectly, but still contested), so taking here. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 00:29, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete, fails notability per WP:MUSIC#Songs. No awards, no chart, no covers. Esradekan (talk) 05:30, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Ofcourse it will chart, Besides the song is by a well know artist. I still say keep. The single will surley chart Ireland on Friday. Its a waste of time putting it up for deletion. --Florenceandthemachinedoohaa (talk) 16:21, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Look it will surley chart this week. --Florenceandthemachinedoohaa (talk) 18:31, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as a WP:NSONGS vio. "Surely it will chart this week": there's a reason the guideline is named Wikipedia is not a fortune teller's crystal ball. When/if it charts, it may have its own article because then it will pass the notability guidelines for songs. talkingbirds 19:42, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep as it's now charted in the UK and therefore passes WP:N. 193.111.24.185 (talk) 09:17, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep; I have now added it's position in the UK Singles Chart as of the beginning of this week with reliable sources. The situation should now be resolved. OlliffeΦObscurity 09:26, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Comment Consensus is to delete, but the song has just charted (albeit lowly). Further analyses solicited. Skomorokh 12:22, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - although it charted at #62 (and meets the criteria of probably being notable, as per WP:NSONG), it still does not meet with the criteria that it need significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. - I couldn't find significant coverage. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 13:39, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. I would recommend waiting to see if this charts any higher on Sunday (23rd) - if it hits top 40 in the UK or charts significantly in another major national chart there will be a better case for notability. If not and if no further coverage surfaces then I would recommend redirecting to the album article. I found surprisingly little coverage of the single, but there was a review in City Life, which is rather short and doesn't really say a lot about it, and it gets a mention in a news.com.au review of the album where it is described "he documents the end of his love affair with reefer on Coming Up Easy". That's about it. the article currently states that the video was filmed in Scotland or London (no source given, which suggests WP:OR), which tells us that there was a video (as there are for all major-label singles) and we don't know where it was filmed. Without anything further this can be covered perfectly adequately in a Nutini discography.--Michig (talk) 20:45, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
