Tourist information station which got missed in the recent round of deletion batches, because it wasn't actually filed in Category:Tourist information radio stations in Canada. As with the others, however, it's still a low-power station, broadcasting a format that WP:NMEDIA explicitly deprecates as non-notable, whose current operational status is unverifiable because this class of stations is now exempt from CRTC licensing -- thus leaving us with no way to determine whether it's still operating or not, or when it went defunct if it's not, or anything else about it beyond a boilerplate statement of existence. And if we can't verify it, we can't keep it. Bearcat (talk) 04:18, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

- Delete; there's no presumption of notability for tourist information stations, licensed or not, and it seems unlikely that CIRO-FM will ever attain the coverage in reliable sources to meet the general notability guideline, much less to verify whether it is still operating. (It's certainly not independently notable of Osoyoos — the station exists to promote tourism to that British Columbia town — and as with the other, already-deleted TIS articles, even if you could verify the continued operation of CIRO, there just isn't much out there for this article to be anything other than a permastub.) --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 01:05, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
