The result was speedily redirected per discussion to the restored, deprecated category (without prejudice to RFD, but I continue to maintain that because CAT:TEMP is linked in so many deletion log actions, it should be kept in some form to provide explanation to users seeking one). –xeno^talk 18:48, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - First, see Wikipedia:Pseudo-namespaces. Second, CAT:TEMP formerly redirected to Category:Temporary Wikipedian userpages, and was linked countless times in deletion logs. The former category provided an explanation of the deletion; it has since been deleted, which is why an explanation is provided at the page in the "pseudo-namespace". An alternative would be to restore the category, tag it as deprecated, and redirect CAT:TEMP back there. –xeno^talk 18:20, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
