Gregory Hoskins is a Canadian singer/songwriter, Montreal born in 1964, and has remained just below the radar for most of his career. He was first signed to True North Records in 1991 and released 2 recordings for that label, 1991's Moon Come Up and 1993's Raids on the Unspeakable, "... quite possibly, the best Canadian album you've never heard." The recordings were critically acclaimed, released in Canada, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In 1994 Hoskins dropped out of sight, "not a bid for enigma or an overdeveloped sense of privacy, as I feel (the answers) are all there in the songs anyway, but an attempt to honour the people in my life, and the transitions that life brings," he says by way of explaining – Hoskins re-emerged in 2001 with the remarkable solo CD, The King of Good Intentions, praised by critics for its "quiet soul," the singer's "haunting voice" and "lyrics (that) speak of the hard lessons he has obviously learned over the last decade." Between February 2007 and May 2008, he will have realeased 3 recordings: the new studio venture, The Beggar Heart; Pleasure and Relief, his first live recording/dvd ; and a “solo accoustic” rendering of some of his material called Alone In The Mayor’s House...Almost for a label in the US. At 43 and the father of three teens, Hoskins, known among peers as a reclusive, even reluctant artist, is learning to enjoy the fruits of his labours. He is entranced by the reaction his songs seem to get from audience old and new, much more so than the acclaim that goes along with being in the music business. “I was never really all that comfy with heads turning in the donut shop,” he offers,“ being followed in the mall, or yelled at from cars. To be honest, that part of it all played with my head. Notariety is one thing, being recognized for talent is another, but fame... it was never a reason I began writing and performing.” Hoskins long ago abandoned notions of conventional success. In l804 Jean Baptiste LaLande left Kaskaskia, Illinois with a small outfit of merchandise bound for Santa Fe, New Mexico. As a result he is credited as being the first American to establish commercial contact with Santa Fe. At that time Santa Fe was Spanish territory and Spanish law prohibited foreigner trading. Upon arriving in New Mexico LaLande was arrested by Spanish authorities and the trade goods were confiscated. Spanish governor Alencaster released LaLande from prison in l805 after LaLande agreed to accompany the Pedro Vial expedition in l806. The expedition's purpose was to establish Pawnee allegiance to Spain. LaLande died February 8, l821 in New Mexico. Sources LeRoy R. He was born July 29, 1986 and stands 5ft. 11in. Dompierre resides in New Bedford, MA and has left his mark on the Earth. In 2006, he entered the Volcom's Damn Am Contest in Amsterdam. He finished 7th in the street competition and 2nd in the street "Best Trick" that year. Later, Dompierre entered the Vans Downtown Showdown in Los Angeles, California. He came in 1st as the Top Am and in the Best Trick. He has since become a professional in January of 2007 and continued to leave his mark. In 2007, Dompierre entered the Tampa Pro and finished 4th. History The Word Alive is a new band started by Ex-Blessthefall Singer Craig Mabbitt. Although the rumors have been circulating about him taking Ronnie Radke's place in Escape The Fate, he may have been simply filling in temporarily. He has announced for a while now that he has new material and a new project that he has been working on. Now it is here, The Word Alive is Craig's new band with a bit of a merge between Calling of Syrens, Escape the Fate and Blessthefall. (Being Craig as the Blessthefall part) Fans are excited to see what awaits them as only time can tell what this new band will be capable of. All we know as of now is that with Craig's amazing vocals, he will be able to carry the new band to the top. Lineup Craig Mabbitt(Former blessthefall)(Escape the Fate) - Vocals Max Green(Escape the Fate)- Bass/Vox Tony Aguilera - Drums Zach Hanson(former calling of syrens) - Guitar/Vox Tony Pazutti(former calling of syrens) - Guitar/Vox Dusty - Keys/Synth There are still songs yet to be put on the myspace as of: 3/24/08. But we know for certain that this will be very interesting to see. All of Craig Mabbitt's supporters will be eager to see what this fresh new band has to offer. SS Arabic

The SS Arabic was a twin-screw passenger steamship with 2 funnels and 2 masts, launched on November 7th 1908 known then as the Berlin and built by the A.G. Weser shipbuilding company in Germany. Her Gross Register Tonnage was advertised as weighing 16,786. She made her maiden voyage on May 1st, 1909 from New York to Genoa and Bremerhaven. In September 1914 she became an auxiliary cruiser with the German Navy as a minelayer. In December 1919 she was given to the Shipping Controller under control of P&O. About a year later in 1920 she was purchased by The White Star Line, based in Livepool and was refitted in Portsmouth, it was then she was renamed the SS Arabic. In September 1921 she made her maiden voyage as a White Star Line ship, via the Southampton to New York route, which is the route the RMS Titanic had incompletely travelled just 9 years before. Afterwards, she sailed on the Mediterranean to New York service until 1924 when she was moved to the Hamburg to New York route, later that year her passenger accommodation was modified, and on October 29th, 1926 Arabic made her first voyage under charter to the rival Red Star Line and resumed doing so until 1930 when she reverted back to the White Star Line and her passenger accomodation was again modified. Less than one year later she was sold for breaking up at Genoa. Major Norton III was born in Vallejo, California and grew up next door to well known bay area rapper Mac Dre. At the early age of seven, Major was introduced to Marijuana for the first time. Major got himself into drugs like this and quickly inherited the nickname Dubee. Dubee attended Hogan High School with Andre Hicks (Mac Dre) and they got into "gangsta rap" music. Dubee released his first solo album in 1996 under the record label Young Black Brotha Records. It was entitled Dubee Aka Sugawolf. It was a hit in Vallejo and sold tens of thousands. Dubee continued to make music and with Mac Dre, the two ruthless adolescents got into a feud with known rapper E-40 and the hillside rappers. This beef continues to this day and Dubee still threatens E-40 for his unoriginal raps. One major thing is the fact that E-40 uses the term "Thizz Face" which is a term that Mac Dre himself made up. The term refers to a face that you make when you are under the influence of the illegal drug ecstasy. People in the streets refer to this drug as ex, thizz, pills, slaps, or methylenedioxymethamphetamine. It is also said that E-40 may be a homosexual which is a controversial thing in our society today. This is unfortunate. After Dubee released his first album, he received a whole lot of money which is referred to as scrilla in Vallejo. Soon after, Dubee released his second album, For That $crilla in 1997. His third album was Dangerous Prospects (1999). These were extremely successful and then Dubee decided to join in a rap group with some friends Mac Dre and PSD Tha Drivah. The group was called Cutthoat Committee. When Dubee was in this group, he inherited more nicknames like Sugawolf, Wizzle, Dubeewolf, and Cutty. Their first album as the Cutthoat Committee was Turf Buccaneers which was released in 2001. This album sold the most copies out of any album by a solo artist or a group out of Vallejo. 3 years later the group released another album, Money Iz Motive, which co-starred rapper Mac Mall. Unfortunately, shortly before the release of this album, Mac Dre was shot at and killed. This was a disappointing occurrence for hundreds of thousands of fans that loved Mac Dre and his music. Dubee continues to make music and in 2007 released the solo album Last of a Thizzin' Breed implying that he is the last O.G. that was affiliated with Mac Dre and the other rappers aren't as good as himself.
