History[edit]Recently, Sappo School has been in a dispute with the Patchogue-Medford school district over who is responsible for payment for their special education students. Joanne Sappo, the school's founder and owner, said she had no choice but to cut off those special services because the school can no longer afford to bear the costs without reimbursement. The parents of the sixteen special education students vow legal action against Patchogue-Medford.[2] Source[edit]69.117.20.128 (talk) 00:51, 9 December 2007 (UTC) Articles for creation/2007-12-09[reply]

The band formed in 2005, following the disintegration of other unsuccessful musical projects. Spending their first months writing and practicing original material in a family garage, Kowalski soon took to playing gigs locally. In October 2006 they secured a support slot on the Air Traffic's UK tour, playing dates in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. These first shows exposed the band to a wide audience for the first time, and it wasn't long before they developed a humble following, most notably in Glasgow and Belfast.
Perhaps Kowalski's most impressive achievement to date has been the bill they shared with Ash, We Are Scientists, Simple Kid and The Dead 60s at Snow Patrol's sold out 30,000 capacity concert in Ward Park, Bangor, on September 1st 2007[5]. Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody has been cited as a keen supporter of the band[6], as has singer-songwriter Iain Archer, formerly of Snow Patrol.

Solomon Weingeroff (March 6, 1916 - March 14, 1988) was an American professional wrestling manager, known by his ringname "Gentleman" Saul Weingeroff, who led several tag teams to the NWA World Tag Team Championship during the 1960s and 70s such as The Islanders (Afa & Sika) [5] and Kurt & Karl Von Brauner. [6] Often using his signature cane as well as fireballs (one of the earliest managers to do so) to aid in the victories of his wrestlers, he and the Von Brauners were one of the most popular "heels" in the National Wrestling Alliance during the early 1960s both for the Von Brauners Nazi-like in ring personas [7] [8] [9] as well as his eccentric antics such as his entering the 1964 U.S. presidential election. [10] The cause of rioting in several major cities, the trio often needed to have a police escort before and after wrestling events. [11] A well known personality in the Memphis-area, he and The Spoilers (Lorenzo Parente & Joey Corea) also had a long running feud with manager J.C. Dykes and The Masked Infernos (Frankie Cain & Jimmy "Rocky" Smith) over the NWA Tennessee Tag Team Championship during the late 1960s later facing Dykes in several wrestling matches. Among others he had managed during his near 30-year career included The Masked Strangler, Sweet Daddy Watts, "Pistol" Pez Whatley, The Legionnaires (Sgt. Jacques Goulet & Soldier LeBeouf), The Spoilers (Lorenzo Parente & Joey Corea), [12] Mephisto & Dante, Tojo Yamamoto & Sugi Sito (and later Johnny Long), [13] Sputnik & Rocket Monroe [14] and Angelo & Lanny Poffo. He is also the father of professional wrestler George Weingeroff. [15] Operating a sign shop in downtown Nashville in his later years, he was also a regular guest columnist for Lew Eskin's Official Wrestling, Wrestling Monthly and Wrestling Review [16] until his death on March 14, 1988. Omar Mijares is a retired Venezuelan professional wrestler, best known by his ring name Omar Atlas, who competed in North American and international promotions including the National Wrestling Alliance, Stampede Wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation from the late 1950s until the early 1990s. A longtime ally of Mexican wrestler Cyclone Negro, he was often billed as his younger half-brother Omar Negro when teaming with him in NWA Southwest Sports during the 1960s and later in Championship Wrestling from Florida during the 1970s. [2] He was also a popular star in Latin America wrestling as Super Steele in Mexico and Super Gladiator in Puerto Rico as well as Buddy Moreno in the southwestern United States. Career[edit]Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Mijares became involved in amateur wrestling during high school and later competed at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1958. Traveling to Spain soon after, he began acting as a cornerman for friend and former olympian Cyclone Negro. Eventually persuaded by Negro to enter professional wrestling, he began training under Jene Howard in Barcelona before making his debut before the end of the year. Spending eight months in Spain, he eventually moved on to Columbia and spent the next four years wrestling throughout Latin America as well as returning to Spain from time to time. In 1962, he was one of several South American wrestlers brought into Houston by Cyclone Negro and billed by promoter Morris Sigel as Cyclone Negro's storyline brother Omar Negro. Leaving the area a year later, Mijares toured the United States with the National Wrestling Alliance wrestling in numerous regional territories including for promoters such as Paul Boesch, Sam Muchnick, Nick Gulas, Eddie Graham, Jim Crockett, Vince McMahon, Sr., Joe Blanchard and Carlos Colon. He would also become a leading star in San Francisco for Roy Shire, Don Owen's Pacific Northwest Wrestling and Bob Geigel's NWA Central States where he would remain one of the area's most popular stars throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s. Feuding with NWA North American Tag Team Champions Yasu Fuji & Chati Yokouchi during early 1972, he and Danny Little Bear would twice capture the tag team titles before finally loosing the titles to them in Wichita, Kansas on March 9, 1972. Several months later, he would also defeat Harley Race for the NWA Central States Heavyweight Championship in St. Joseph, Missouri on July 7 holding the title for half a year before loosing to Roger Kirby in December. By the 1970s, Mijares began competing in Canada feuding with Abdullah the Butcher and Harley Race in Calgary-based Stampede Wrestling as well as eventually winning the Stampede North American Heavyweight Championship from Gil Hayes on November 9, 1973. Enjoying a close relationship with promoter Stu Hart and the Hart family, he would spend the next 12 years between the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico and promoter NWA Central States in Kansas City, Missouri winning the NWA World Tag Team Championship with Pat O'Connor from The Interns (Joe Turner & Bill Bowman) in Kansas City, Kansas on August 29, 1974. He would also compete internationally, visiting Australia, Korea and Japan. While in the Kansas City-area during the late 1970s, he would face Jesse Ventura in his debut match in Wichita. According to his autobiography, Ventura claimed that if he had impressed the crowd during their match, Mijares had been instructed to allow Ventura to throw him over the top rope so as Ventura would receive a disqualification. If not, he was to injure Ventura in a legitimate "shoot". [3] Mijares joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1984 as it began its national expansion under Vince McMahon, Jr. Although facing many of the promotions top stars such as the British Bulldog, Randy Savage, Honky Tonk Man, Jake Roberts and Ted DiBiase, he would be used primarily as a preliminary wrestler during his career in the WWF. In 1993, Mijares retired from professional wrestling and eventually went into law enforcement as a probation officer. In recent years, Mijares works with convicts as a security monitor for the Bexar County Adult Probation Department in San Antonio, Texas. [4] In 2004, Mijares was honored by the Cauliflower Alley Club at their annual banquet in Las Vegas, Nevada. [5] Championships and accomplishments[edit]

In the case that a taxpayer receives earnings without restriction or significant limitations, they have received a claim of right to the earnings, and as a result must claim it as income. This does not mean that the taxpayer is certain that they will be able to retain the earnings after some later legal action, but that the taxpayer now has accession to and ultimate control over the realized gain. If the taxpayer later loses the right to that profit, they would be entitled to a deduction to restore that amount.

Cyrus Frisch is said to be one of the most notorious filmmakers currently working in the Netherlands. Frisch is born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 1969. He is known to have made the first fictional feature film shot with a mobile phone: "Why didn't anybody tell me it would become this bad in Afghanistan", that premiered at major filmfestivals (the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2007, Tribeca Film Festival 2007, the San Francisco International Film Festival 2007, Pesaro 2007, and several others). According to Dutch newspaper Trouw Frisch pinpoints the insanity of western society nowadays with this film as precise as Polanski did in the 60’ties with Repulsion (31-05-2007). The Guardian writes Frisch is a celebrity in Holland, known for tackling difficult subjects (04-02-2007). After graduating from Dutch Film Academy in 1992 he was nominated for the Grolsch-award, one of the most prestigious film awards in the Netherlands. Reactions on his work are always extreme. Some love it, some hate it. His debut feature film "Forgive me", meant as a critique of reality-TV culture, also premiered at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam (2001) and set his name as a controversial filmmaker. Frisch himself plays the lead in that film. He pretends to be a develish director without any ethical bounderies in search for the ultimate, exciting (fiction) film. Using a group of (real) social outcasts and mentally handicapped as actors. Variety wrote about "Forgive me": "irritating, revolting, yet oddly memorable". Filmmaker Magazine, the American magazine for independent film, described Frisch as "the wild man of Dutch film" (issue: fall 2006). According to Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad (27-01-2001), the feared Theo van Gogh was like a baby compared to "enfant terrible" Frisch. And the International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam compared Frisch with Lars von Trier in the ways he succeeds to get his audiences "angry as hell". Frisch also became known as a playwright. His play "Ik Ben Bang" (“I'm Afraid”), according to the Dutch Theater Festival, became the most discussed play of the season (2000 / 2001). "Gharb", "A short, sharp, blast of a play" (The Stage / 15-10-2004) was performed in different languages in Holland, France, Austria and England in 2004. Recently Dutch newspapers in the Netherlands reported Frisch is working on a film with Georgina Verbaan and Rutger Hauer. The film titled "Oogverblindend", "Dazzled" in English, is said to be Hauer's first film in his homecountry in 28 years.
