The inaugural conference was held in Copenhagen 2000. It has since then been held in Stockholm, Las Vegas, Berlin, Vancouver, Montreal, Gothenburg and New York. The conference was started by Lennart Svanberg. Speakers have included Danny Sullivan (Search Engine Watch), Jeffrey Eisenberg (Future Now, Inc.), Jim Wilson (Jim World), Lucas Morea (LatinEdge), Mitch Joel (TwistImage), Scott Ferber (Advertising.com), Stephen Turner (ClickTracks), Matthew Colebourne (coComment), Brian Clifton (Google). Born in 1054 after Germany starts to branch out in to other uninhabited modern day countreis. He was raised to be a farmer and hunter in a village unkwown to us currently, at an age of 17 he hated his occupation. He soon forms a group af expeditioneers and starts the group of about 200 in a North-Westerly direction. Bo the Great & company travel through modern-day France, when the group gets to the French side of the English Channel he commodores discarded Viking ships and sails North. He hit England after 1 year at sea. He procures himself as ruler of the new land, and sends 50 people to modern-day Ireland and 50 people to modern-day Scottland. After years at rule he, becomes extremely vicious, remorseless, and cruel. After a few more years at a tyrannous rule he gets assassinated in 1091 at an age of 37. But in the end he did discover modern-day United Kingdom making him truly worthy of the title Bo the Great. Neil Daniels served as an assistant to Mort Werner (Former Vice President of NBC Television) and J. Sommers (Associate Production Director) during the middle 1960's starting at age thirteen, when child-labor laws were not strictly enforced. During NBC's tenure, many shows were developed and taped at their Burbank facilities including; Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in, The Mac Davis Show, Sanford and Son, The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson, The Midnight Special, The Andy Williams Show, Hollywood Squares, and more. Also productions at the Burbank studios included Bob Hope's many specials, as well as a variety of other major stars including Elvis Presley's Comeback Special. While Werner ran operations from New York, Daniels acted as liaison from the west coast, often providing an easy flow of communication between the various suppliers of material from other studios and organizations. One of the shows produced in co-operation with NBC starting in 1965 was The Dean Martin Show, which ran for nine years before morphing into The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts and was succeeded by various Celebrity Roast and Christmas Specials all produced by Dean's original variety series producer, Greg Garrison, and Special Materials person, Lee Hale. Mr. Daniels often describes the special memories he has of hanging around Dean's show in particular. "It was variety show at it's best. Not only was Dean like a kid in a grown-up candy store... the others who worked on the show had a special bond in developing a concept that kept Dean happy, and the show in the top ten for many years." Years after the show's demise, Neil Daniels successfully began a so-called "Fan Center" for entertainer Dean Martin, as a way to honor not only those golden years of Variety television and anchor TV personalities, but as a tribute to Dean Martin whom Daniels recalls, "... not only changed my life, but thousand and thousands of others as well. It's a tribute to a legend". Neil Daniels has been considered one of the definitive authorities on television history during the 1960's through the early 1980's, and also a historian on entertainer Dean Martin with one of the largest Dean Martin memorabilia collections in the world. Neil Daniels' credits include: Producing four separate box-set CD's covering the entire recorded history of Dean Martin's works for The Bear Family Record Company. Appearing as a guest on numerous radio talk shows and TV documentaries including A&E's Biography for Dean Martin, E! Entertainment's Spotlight documentary on Martin, PBS's Dean Martin Specials and PAX-TV's Treasures in Your Home closeup on Dean Martin. His numerous consulting includes PBS' "That's Amore" Special, The many Guthy-Renker Infomercials for both the Celebrity Roasts and Variety Series, and many other various productions. Daniels is mentioned in many books relating to Dean Martin: "Backstage at The Dean Martin Show" by Lee Hale, "Memories Are Made of This" by daughter Deana Martin,"With Malice Towards Some" by Bob Sidney, and "Dean and Me - A Love Story" by Jerry Lewis to list a few. As an author himself, Neil Daniels recently (2006) penned "Cherry's Jubilee - Singin' and Swingin' Through Life With Dino & Frank, Arnie & Jack", a 300 page hardcover book (Triumph Publishers) written with golfer/singer Don Cherry (Cherry's biography - Cherry was one of Dean Martin's best friends, including best man at Don's wedding). As an on-going effort, the non-profit fan organization for Dean Martin is one of the most successful fan based clubs for any single performer alive or deceased. Their award winning newsletter/magazine in produced by Neil Daniels with passion and devotion for a man and an era gone by. Groetziner is a 1987 Supreme Court decision that addressed the question of what qualifies as being either a trade or business under §162(a) of the Internal Revenue Code. Under the terms of §162(a), tax deductions should be granted "for all the ordinary and necessary expenses paid or incurred during the taxable year in carrying on any trade or business for tax purposes." "Trade or Business" is defined no where in the Internal Revenue Code. The case of Commissioner v. Groetzinger examined what is required for an activity to rise to the level of a "trade or business" for tax purposes. The particular question presented in this case was whether a full-time gambler who made wages for his own account was engaged in a "trade or business." Holding In the absence of an all-purpose definition by statute or regulation, the US Supreme Court decided not to impose a test to determine what qualifies as a trade or business. Instead, the Court found that such a decision requires an examination of the facts in each case.As for gambling in particular, the Court concluded that "if one's gambling activity is pursued full time, in good faith, and with regularity, to the production of income for livelihood, and is not a mere hobby" it is a trade or business within the meaning of §162(a) of the Internal Revenue Code. Behind the Holding Historically, Congress has distinguished between business and trade and transactions that a party might had entered into for purposes of profit but that are not necessarily related to trade or business. The Court agreed that to be engaged in a trade or business, the taxpayer must be involved in the activity with continuity and regularity and that the taxpayer's primary purpose for engaging in the activity must be for profit or income. The taxpayer in this case spent 60 to 80 hours a week doing gambling-related activities. He had no other type of employment. In the tax year at issue in the case, the taxpayer had earned $70,000 in gambling winnings. The Court found that the constant and large scale effort the taxpayer made towards gambling qualified it being a trade or business. It was more than just a hobby or amusement. It was his livelihood. Under the basic concepts of fairness, the Court held that the ordinary and necessary expenses paid or incurred during the taxable year in carrying out the taxpayer's gambling business could be deducted under the terms of §162(a). Importance of This Case Commissioner v. Groetzinger explains that in deciding whether an activity is a trade or business we need to examine the facts on a case-by-case basis, looking into whether the taxpayer devoted his or her full-time efforts towards the activity on a regular, continuous, and substantial basis. Francis Ken Josiah is the distinguished author of "Trial by Rebellion"; the first and only book yet written by a Sierra Leonean Army officer. He fought against the RUF rebels and recorded important details of the war that is now used as a source of reference for military reasearch on guerrilla warfare. He is one of the few authors in Sierra Leone and a Mende by tribe. He is a graduate of John F. Kennedy's Special Warfare School in Fort Bragg North Carolina. Known for his lyrics regarding political views, US government and poverty has developed a large underground following. He came into the scene in 2003 with his underground hit "Fuck The World" in which he describes his views on everything from gas prices to abortion. He has no official albums but is in works to release his first mixtape January 2008. SlayerX: Born on October 21st, 1985 SlayerX is a singer, songwriter, guitar player, model, and writer all wraped up into one. He plays guitar, sings, songrwrites, mixes and records his own music for his electro/alternative/pop solo project Steel Abyss. His poetry shows strong emotion and his music is mostly based around his poetry. His modeling style is alternative and sometimes somewhat industrial, but still varies quite a bit from picture to picture. His favorite food is sushi. His favorite colors are black and red. Chang Gedo (born 1941), a contemporary of martial art masters Ji Han Jae, Myung Kwang-Sik and Han Bong-Soo, was an early Hapkido practitioner and master of the art, who brought his style of this Korean fighting system to the west in 1973. Life During Japanese occupation (1905-1945) the fighting arts were banned across Korea. In order to practice their skills in secret many masters took to the hills and remote monasteries. Chang Gedo lived until his early twenties in one of these mountain monasteries near Geumsan in Teague province, learning hoshinsul (self-defence techniques) from his father, a Buddhist monk. Upon leaving the monastery, Chang Gedo became one of the few men to be formally recognised as a master of Hapkido in 1968. He then opened his Hapkido school in Korea and called it Wol Ge Kwan which means The Victor's Laurel. One of his notable students was Kim Yun Sang. In 1973, the Korean Hapkido Association dispatched Master Chang to the United States of America. There he has demonstrated and taught throughout the USA. He finally settled in Lombard, Illinois where he opened his first U.S. School, Chang's Hapkido Academy. Chang’s Hapkido Academy now has schools across America and England. Accomplishments He was the first to develop Hapkido techniques specifically for police personnel in Korea. His teaching abilities so impressed the Korean Government, that they created a special award for Best Martial Arts Instructor, and presented it to Master Chang. Chang Gedo is an 8th degree master of Hapkido and president of the World Hapkido Union; he is also a world renowned speaker on Ki (Inner Power), spirituality and human behaviour. Biography Hailing from the metro area of sunny Perth, W.A, Chaos Divine was born with guitarist Simon Mitchell and the formation of the band, Devoid in the late 90’s: a heavy outfit consisting of Simon Mitchell, Michael Kruit and Ryan Felton as a late entrant. Following the departure of 3 of Devoid’s members, a new line up was born and thus came the creation of Chaos Divine. Chaos Divine’s sound is very much what the name suggests - At times a blaze of thick riffage with a brick wall sized sound which seems to spiral into hypnotic melodies. Drawing influences from a vast array of metal bands such as Meshuggah, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Dream Theater, Tool, Killswitch Engage, Strapping Young Lad and Soilwork to name only a few, the sound of Chaos Divine seems difficult to categorise. The mixing of brutal polyrhythmic metal and ambient contemporary rock music has seen the members of Chaos Divine bring various styles into a unique chaotic fusion. The first half of 2006 saw the band complete six months worth of work on our debut, self-released five-track EP entitled Ratio and release it in front of nearly 500 punters at the Amplifier Bar, Perth. The EP has since been enjoying healthy reviews across Australia, as well as airplay on many national radio stations. In December of 2006, Ratio was voted the as best Australian metal release of 2006 by Triple J, one of Autralia's Largest national Radio stations. The EP Ratio was also voted the number 2 Australian Release of the year by the public. In the short span of the bands journey so far, Chaos Divine has supported and played with the likes of Slayer (USA), Fear Factory (USA), Devil Driver (USA), Dark Tranquillity (SWE), Trivium (USA), Daysend (NSW), Dreadnaught (VIC), Contrive (VIC), Five Star Prison Cell (VIC), Picture The End (VIC), A Secret Death (QLD) and top Perth acts such as Subtruck, The Furor, Voyager, Heavy Weight Champ and Pathogen to name only a few. In 2007 Chaos Divine took part in their first Australian Tour including Perth, Adelaide, melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle. The band is expected to release its second C.D in early 2008. The Jump Scene is a technique used in the movie-making business, particularly popular in Horror Films. As the name implies, this type of scene is designed specifically to make the audience watching it jump. There are two types of Jump Scenes: 1. The Fake Jump Scene: This type of Jump Scene provides the audience with a situation which makes them instantly assume that something involving the bad guy/monster of the film is going to happen, but in reality just offers them a fake jump in the form of, for example, two of the main characters of the film being reunited by accidentally bumping into each other, both jumping in surprise accompanied by a loud, sudden burst of music. 2. The Genuine Jump Scene: This type of Jump Scene is where the bad guy/monster of the film actually does suddenly appear. This type of scene is quite often preceded by a number of Fake Jump Scenes, in order to lower their barrier and make them think nothing shocking is going to happen, when it suddenly does, making them jump. James William Bastien (April 10, 1934, Bellingham, Wash. - Dec. 7 in La Jolla, Calif), a pianist and educator whose instructional books have been used for more than four decades by millions of eager, and some not-so-eager, piano pupils worldwide, earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Southern Methodist University; his teachers included the eminent Hungarian pianist Gyorgy Sandor. Mr. Bastien married Jane Smisor in 1961. They had met a few months earlier, over Prokofiev's Seventh Sonata, and were soon performing as a duo-piano team. Mr. Bastien held faculty positions at Notre Dame, Tulane University and Loyola University in New Orleans. He also taught in summer programs at Tanglewood and at the National Music Camp (now Interlochen Arts Camp) in Interlochen, Mich. Besides his wife, Mr. Bastien is survived by the couple's two daughters, Lisa Bastien Hanss of Manhattan, and Lori Bastien Vickers of La Jolla, both piano teachers who have collaborated with their mother on many recent books; and by four grandchildren. With his wife, Jane Smisor Bastien, also a pianist, Mr. Bastien wrote more than 300 books of piano repertory and technique. Published in several series, among them Bastien Piano Library, Bastien Piano Basics and Music Through the Piano, the books include "Piano for the Young Beginner," "Theory & Technic for the Young Beginner" and "Musicianship for the Older Beginner." The Bastiens' publisher, the Neil A. Kjos Music Company in San Diego, does not make sales figures public, but a company spokesman said the couple's books had sold in the millions of copies and been translated into 15 languages since the first one appeared in 1963. A hallmark of the Bastiens' method is that it refrains from teaching musical notation, the bane of many beginners, right away. Instead, students learn to play simple tunes by placing their hands on designated keys and following a set of numbered finger patterns. (The opening of "Peer Gynt," for example: 5-3-2-1-2-3, 5-3-2-1.) Only after several months do the authors initiate students into the mysteries of the musical staff. In the 2007 season she made her World Cup debut in Moscow[5]. Born and raised in McMechen, West Virginia (Marshall County) It began when he was 8 years old, at Christmas. Craig’s older brother (by two years) got a guitar for Christmas from his father. It only took a day for his brother to get bored with the gift, so to save his Dad’s feelings Craig picked it up. From that moment on, he couldn’t put it down. He taught himself how to play and not long after, started writing songs. Craig’s love for music progressed the older he got. At fifteen he started a band and played in honky tonks and bars that performed regularly in West Virginia, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and Kentucky. At the age of eighteen, he put the music aside and took a job in the North Hall unit in the maximum security penitentiary in Moundsville, WV. There he stayed for five years. After he realized that the corrections life wasn’t what he wanted, Craig packed up and moved to Nashville and was immediately taken under the wings of hit songwriters and artists alike. Craig played for tips for a year or more at Hound Dogs Hot Dogs Stand on Music Row with Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw before any of the three established a name for themselves. From there, Craig was noticed by Mercury/Polygram Records and signed to a recording deal. After a year of working on a slow moving album project, and disputes between him and the label of song selection he decided to leave the label and concentrate on song writing. At that time, Tim McGraw was recording his second album and asked Craig if he could record a song that Mercury Records wouldn’t let Craig record. The song was “Don’t Take The Girl”. You can imagine how his song writing career exploded after that. “Don’t Take The Girl” was Craig’s first number one song as a writer and Tim McGraw’s first number one song as an artist, And has been determined now to be within the top 5 selling country singles of all time. The hot dog stand days paid off! Craig went on to write other songs for artist’s such as; Western Flyer, George Jones, Clinton Gregory, Lee Ann Womack, Cledus T Judd and others. He has been nominated three times for CMA awards, twice for ACM awards, is a member of BMI’s 2 million airplays club. His songs have appeared in television shows, and on albums in excess of 15 million sales. His new CD entitled “Let Him Walk You Home” can be purchased or downloaded now at www.craigjmartinmusic.com. A regular tag team partner of Karl Von Schotz, the two were one of the most hated heels in the Detroit-area while competing in the National Wrestling Alliance during the early 1970s. Career Making his debut in September 1968, Terry began wrestling in Ontario for promoter Frank Tunney's Maple Leaf Wrestling as "Big" Bill Terry during the late 1960s. After a brief stint in World Class Championship Wrestling in late 1968, he later won the Stampede North American Heavyweight Championship defeating Bob Lueck in 1971. After loosing the title to Tor Kamata in February 1972, he returned to Ontario. After John Anson had arrived from Calgary in 1972, the two began teaming together as Kurt Von Hess and Karl Von Schotz and defeated Jacques Rougeau & Gino Brito for the International Tag Team Championship in September 1972. They soon rose to the top of the tag team division and often headlined events at Maple Leaf Gardens between October 1972 and September 1973. They would also wrestle in Detroit for promoter Ed Farhat defeating Ben Justice & The Stomper for the NWA World Tag Team Championship on December 9, 1972. Loosing the tag team titles to Fred Curry & Tony Marino later that month, they would feud with Curry and Marino for the tag team titles during throughout early 1973 and won the NWA World Tag Team Championship 3 more times from them until loosing the titles to Tony Marino & Bobo Brazil in early 1974. Winning the NWF World Tag Team Championship in May, the two would remain tag team champions until the promotions close later that year. While touring New Japan Pro Wrestling, he and Von Schotz won the NWA North American Tag Team Championship defeating Johnny Powers & Pat Patterson before loosing the titles to Antonio Inoki & Seiji Sakaguchi in Los Angeles, California on August 16, 1974. Splitting up with Anson in 1975, he would remain in Detroit winning the NWA Tag Team Championship once more with Kurt Von Brauner defeating The Islanders (Afa & Sika) in Toledo, Ohio on December 19, 1975. Loosing the tag team titles to Chris Colt & Count Drummer in March 1976, Terry moved on to NWA All-Star Wrestling where he teamed with John Quinn to win the NWA Canadian Tag Team Championship in 1976. He and Quinn would also win the IWE World Tag Team Championship defeating Animal Hamaguchi & Isamu Teranishi in Yokohama, Japan on March 25, 1977. The following night at Sumo Hall in Tokyo, he and Quinn would loose the titles to Animal Hamaguchi & Isamu Teranishi in a 2-3 falls match. Terry would score the first fall pinning Animal Hamaguchi, however he and Von Hess forfeited the second fall via disqualification allowing Hamaguchi to pin Von Hess for the third pinfall. Terry would spend the late 1970s in the southeastern United States feuding with The Wrestling Pro over the NWA Gulf Coast Heavyweight Championship during early 1977 before loosing the title to Ken Lucas in Mobile, Alabama on July 26, 1977. In 1978, he and Seigfried Stanke defeated Steven Little Bear & Ray Candy for the NWA Louisiana Tag team Championship before loosing the tag team titles to Terry Lathan & Ricky Fields. Briefly teaming in the Memphis-area with King Kong Bundy, Masao Ito, Eddie Gilbert, Phil Hickerson, Randy Collins as well as facing Dutch Mantel and Tojo Yamamoto during the early 1980s, Terry would also continue wrestling in Toronto and, in January 1984, he substituted for Buzz Sawyer in a dog-collar match against Roddy Piper. After suffering problems with his kidneys, he was forced to retire in 1986. He would remain on a dialysis machine for six years before an organ donor was available and underwent an operation to receive a new kidney in 1996. Terry would also purchase an Orange Crush distributorship from retired wrestler Wes Hutchins before his death from a heart attack at his west Hamilton home on March 13, 1999. Martyn Watson's been a teen pin-up, pioneer of ambient music and worked with Simon Cowell. He is currently working for the University of Derby as a lecturer of music. He was famously member of pookah makes three where he found his music fame. he then went on to form the International peoples gang who found small fame in the UK. Early years t was the Beatles that first intrigued Martyn that and the sound of trains. Even at an early age he was recording the sounds that would soon become popular with ambient samplers up and down the country. Pop celebrity He's been the front page star of teen magazines, produced musicians while living in Paris and discovered Nottingham singer / songwriter Matthew Jay, whose career was cut tragically short. Their main goal is to bring back hard rock music associated with the 70's and 80's. The Band's Creation Iron Mage The band's current lead guitarist, Carrick Linthicum, and secondary drummer, Colby Linthicum, were once in the band Iron Mage with rhythm guitarist Jacob Moore and singer Sid Harms. Both Moore and Harms eventually moved in 2006 breaking up the band. In late 2006 the Linthicums recorded a short no vocal album. The New Iron Mage played one show in front of a small audience. Black In 2007, the two man Iron Mage hired vocalist Joe Heiser, bass guitarist Austin Neeman, another drummer Austin Bennet, and creative director Jacob Alitz. They renamed the band "Black". Colby Linthicum was moved to back up or secondary drums and percussion. The band only had one practice before it was once again heavily changed. Sacred Enemy The band's name was again changed; Sacred Enemy. The lead singer Joe was unable to make it to practices so he quit the band. Carrick Linthicum (lead guitars) and Austin Neeman (bass guitars) were temporarily moved to vocals. Practices continued and a show is to be scheduled. Currently The Band's Rival Joe Heiser, the band's former lead singer, started his own band named Tears of Death. This band will feature guitarist Daniel and drummer Alex Pfeil. Joe has decided to sing and play bass guitar. Sacred Enemy has recently scheduled a local two location tour with Tears of Death. For this tour only, Alex Pfeil will share vocals with Carrick Linthicum while Sacred Enemy plays. In the first location, Tear of Death will open up for Sacred Enemy and Sacred Enemy will open in the second location. Album One Sacred Enemy will soon release its first album. It is currently unnamed.
