Most can trace the roots of Musica Tejana back to the nineteenth century, when music-making was considered a representation of social status. Music even had its own “trade-value”. And although music-making has lost much of its social power, it still has its power to express identity and freedom. Musica Tejana is in full swing, even today, in most “ Tex-Mex” societies. There are those who even make a living by writing music and selling it to modern artists.

Torrens Bridge probably opened between 1858-1870. Facilities at Torrens Bridge were not known. As it's name suggests, the station was located just north of the railway bridge that crossed the River Torrens. Before the station closed, Torrens Bridge was the closest station to Adelaide, but Mile End is now the closest. The station closed in 1888, and was demolished shortly after. It was the first railway station to close in Adelaide, or South Australia, for that matter. Given that Torrens Bridge was demolished over a century ago, it is impossible to find any evidence of the station. Sources[edit]Pantlin G and J Sargent (eds). Wellington, New Zealand[edit]He completed a Bachelor of Music with Honours at Victoria University of Wellington studying Organ performance under Douglas Mews and Organ Scholar of Saint Paul's Cathedral, Wellington. In 2000 he was appointed Organist and Director of Music at Wellington Metropolitan Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Under Thomas’ direction the choir toured Italy, singing at services and concerts in Rome, featuring as guest choir at the Epiphany Mass in [[St. Peter's Basilica}}. His final engagement with the Cathedral Choir was New Zealand’s first period-instrument performance of Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers(Vespro della Beata Vergine 1610, presented as a liturgical reconstruction. He was NZ Concert FM (Radio New Zealand Concert)recording artist, has recorded two CDs with the Metropolitan Cathedral Choir and worked with numerous groups such as the National Youth Choir, the Wellington Youth Orchestra, the Orpheus Choir of Wellington and the Festival Singers. London[edit]Thomas Wilson moved to London from New Zealand in 2003 to begin postgraduate education studies in organ (pipe organ) and musicology at the Royal Academy of Music under David Titterington where his research interests included the organ music of Dieterich Buxtehude and the choral music of J.S. Bach. Whilst at the Academy he won prizes for organ playing and improvisation and performed in several high profile concerts, accompanying cellist Stephen Isserlis at the Wigmore Hall and giving a concerto performance in Neresheim Abbey with the Royal Academy Baroque Orchestra. In 2003, he was also appointed Assistant Director and Organist for the choir of Ealing Abbey but has most recently been Assistant Organist at Westminster Cathedral since October 2004. In addition to working with the Cathedral choir he has specific responsibility for music at non-choral services. Thomas Wilson was appointed Precentor of Westminster Cathedral in 2006 adding to his already busy work schedule at the Cathedral. Thomas is married to Madeline, also a New Zealander.

Sources[edit]The Materials Technology Institute, founded in 1977, is a unique, not-for-profit technology development organization representing private industry. It sponsors projects focused on both developing new technology and transferring existing knowledge to day-to-day practice. Practical, generic, nonproprietary studies are conducted on the selection, design, fabrication, testing, inspection, and performance of materials of construction used in the process industries. The scope of work includes evaluation of metallic, and non-metallic materials, optimum design applications, fitness-for-service, mechanical integrity and life cycle determinations, and economic factors affecting performance of vessels, tanks, piping and other components. Through membership and networking within MTI, companies can access solutions to nonproprietary problems of major concern to the process industries. Members can capitalize on the extensive expertise of member company representatives, leverage their technology investment by participating in the direction and results of MTI projects, and utilize MTI's books, reports, software and video training programs immediately as needed. Benefits to member companies are increased plant integrity, reliability and profitability.

Introduction[edit]On November 5th, 2007 NVIDIA Corporation announced its proposed Enthusiast System Architecture (ESA). This ESA will be a way for peripheral analog sensors to be summarized, digitally displayed, and controlled client-side through a software control panel. For it to be officially standardized, NVIDIA submitted their plans to the USB-if HID subcommittee for discussion and approval.[2] Implementation[edit]NVIDIA's ESA protocol has already received support from Dell, HP, Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte.[3] Sources[edit]

Sources[edit]An endearing murder mystery, with great chemistry between Art Carney and Lily Tomlin. Carney is an aging, gruff private eye with a bad leg, a bleeding ulcer and a hearing aid. Tomlim is an off-kilter woman who believes in reincarnation and occasionally sells a little dope. She wants to hire Carney to find her cat. From there we have belly shots, beatings and blackmail. It's a nice, complicated mystery. Tomlin has a great scene with a refrigerator. And the ending is satisfying. If people ever thought Tomlin wasn't a skilled actress, they should watch this film and Nashville. Shame she hasn't had more of a movie career. I think she's an attractive woman, but no Hollywood starlette type. She's got a long face, a skeptical intelligence about her, and wicked humor. On the other hand, she could play with great vulnerability (Nashville). First rate movie. First rate actress. Carney was certainly her equal in the film, and Bill Macy plays a memorable sleaze. Robert Benton (Chinatown) was nominated for Best Original Screeplay for his great work in this film. The perfect film for anyone who likes their mysteries in the Dashiell Hammett/Raymond Chandler mode. 76.4.135.69 19:56, 7 November 2007 (UTC) Articles for creation/2007-11-07[reply]

The Song[edit]"I had a wheelbarrow, the wheel fell off I had a wheelbarrow, the wheel fell off I had a wheelbarrow, the wheel fell off I had a wheelbarrow, the wheel fell off County! County!"
Origins[edit]As legend has it there are so many different stories about where this song started. Some believe it to have started when a young boy was doing the rounds at half time with his wheelbarrow full of pies (a long time before the snack bars). He was selling these as he walked around the side of the pitch. However as he cut the corner of the pitch, the wheel fell off and all the pies splilt onto the pitch. It took 20 minutes to clear and during this 20 minutes the wheelbarrow song was born. However legend has another version - a more realistic version, believed by many supporters as they were present at the game. It started at a match back on Tuesday April 17th 1990. The Location was Gay meadow home of Shewsbury Town. It was somewhat chilly and very rainy night in Shopshire. Notts, despite having won their previous four games, were trailing to two Dean Spink goals and looked out of it with less than ten minutes left. The Shrewsbury Supporters were happy and singing. The accent in that part of the world is a strange one, Shewsbury being situated part way between Wolverhampton and Wales. The main song they were singing was to the tune " on top of old smokey" but the words-because of that local accent were difficult to pick out. However, they sounded like " I had a wheel barrow, the wheel fell off"
With "The wheelbarrow Song" ringing around the visitors end of Gay Meadow, a Notts side which has been going through the motions for 80-odd minutes suddenly sprang into life. Everything clicked into gear, and Notts were transformed. Notts hit 2 goals in 3 minutes. The first from Tommy Johnson on 85, the second from Kevin Bartlett on 88. The comeback was complete. Now this may have been due to a verbal explosion from the bench, as Neil Warnock would've been just as unhappy at the performance as the rest of us, or it may have been the verbal explosion that came from the terraces. Either way, the new-born "wheelbarrow Song" took the credit. Notts snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat, entended their unbeaten run to 6 matches and went on to remain unbeaten for a further 9 games, culminating in the 2-0 victory over Tranmere in the club's historic first Wembley appearance. The Wheelbarrow Song accompanied them all the way, and on into the following season, with another trip to Wembley and another victory, 25,000 people singing it beneath the twin towers. "I had a wheelbarrow, the wheel fell off" "I had a wheelbarrow, the wheel fell off" "I had a wheelbarrow, the wheel fell off" "I had a wheelbarrow, the wheel fell off" Uses in popular culture[edit]When filming 'Paradise Heights' Actor Ralf Little plays a Notts County fan, and he has to sing the 'Wheel barrow' song. The song was mentioned live on air at a Notts County match at White Hart lane by John Motson.
