Biography[edit]Kaler was born March 19. 1848, in Winterport, Maine. Growing up he attend public schools and as a teenager began work with the Boston Journal. He went on to work for various newspapers and worked as a journalist, editor, and a publicity man for a circus.[1] In 1880, under the penname James Otis, he authored his first children’s book, Toby Tyler, a story about an orphan who runs away to join the circus. Following the books success he went on to author numerous other children’s books. [2] After spending several years in the southeastern states he returned to Maine to become the first superintendent in South Portland[3]. Kaler married Amy L. Scamman March 19, 1898 and together they had two children Stephen and Otis. Kaler died of uremia on December 11, 1912 in Portland Maine[1]. Books[edit]

Michael Chertoff was born on November 28, 1953 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to Rabbi Gershon Baruch Chertoff and Livia Eisen. Livia Eisen Chertoff was born in Poland, after WWII she lived in Palestine and Elizabeth, NJ. She lived and worked in Israel and was apparently an Israeli national, her Israeli citizenship was granted under terms of being a stateless Jewish person. Under Israel's citizenship law of 1952: "Any Jew who immigrated to Israel before July 14, 1952, was granted citizenship after declaring a desire to reside in Israel." Livia Eisen was one of the very first hostess for El Al, the Israel's state-owned airlines, founded in 1948. As El Al's first hostess, Livia probably held Israeli citizenship. Livia reportedly participated in Operation Magic Carpet, the top-secret airlift of some 45,000 Yemenite Jews to Israel from June 1949 to September 1950. Mrs. Chertoff also operated L'Artigue, an art gallery in Elizabeth before retiring to Florida. In December 1998, Mrs. Livia Chertoff died at age 73 in Delray Beach, Florida. Michael Chertoff was born on November 28, 1953 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to Rabbi Gershon Baruch Chertoff and Livia Eisen.

Gary Bevin[edit]Born January 30th 1984, Gary Bevin is a reputable up and coming footballer who is well known throughout the football league and indeed in lower tiered divisions for escapades separate from his frustratingly promising talent. Whilst being born Gary Bevin, he submitted his name for registration with the football association as Gary Smith, so as to avoid confusion with his late uncle who played prominently throughout the 1950's for hartlepool. The Younger of the siblings, his brother Stuart is also a promising aspect but as yet has not cemented a regular place like his brother. He also carries some of the same traits which so constantly hampers his elder Gary. On and Off the pitch[edit]His talent as a holding midfield player has never been questioned, he was scouted from a young age for his foruitiveness on the field, and desire to win. He secured himself a spot on the Brentford team, after formerly being a member of Middlesborough as a trainee along with Stuart and then moving on to more regular football at Milton Keynes Dons. Having been with Brentford a month, cracks were being shown in the relationship between gary and the management, and his attitude was doing more harm and good. Training sessions were missed regularly and other teamates were being alienated. A name was made by Gary as a very violent player who could take things too far. However, with the help of Stuart, Gary is now finally beginning to mature as a player and is back on track at brentford and is now a stalwart of the first team. Gary now claims to have a new respect for the game and his team mates, largely attributing it to his younger brothers attitude. " Without Stuarts input, I may not have gotten this second chance, despite his own problems he has led me through this rough patch and I have come through it that bit stronger" As of August the 29th stuart has yet to obtain a permanent contract at a club above pyramid level, several clubs have been in contact but no teams have confirmed or denied their serious interest in the player. The progressive rock band "Discipline." formed in 1987. They gained a following in the Detroit area partly because they perform unusual, original music, and partly due to their strange live shows. Lead singer, Matthew Parmenter, delivers each song in a different costume behind a thick coat of mime's makeup. Discipline. features Jon Preston Bouda on guitar, Mathew Kennedy on bass, and Paul Dzendzel on drums. "Unfolded Like Staircase" (1997) is the band's best known work, containing three fifteen-minute songs including Canto IV (Limbo), as well as a twenty-two minute song-suite entitled Into the Dream. In 2005 the band's independent label released "Discipline. Live 1995," a DVD that captures the band during its most theatrical period. Parmenter appears alternately dressed as a jester, a witch, a toga-clad prisoner of Limbo, and a straight-jacketed clown. This special edition DVD includes an extra hour of live footage spanning the band's career from shows in 1988, 1992, 1997, and a rare 1998 performance of Into the Dream. In 1999, Syzygy Records released "Discipline. Live: Into the Dream." Recorded live in Baltimore as part of the Orion Progressive Rock Showcase, this album includes performances of songs from both the Discipline. studio albums. The same album includes Parmenter singing Between me and the End, a song that would later appear on the singer's 2004 solo CD, "astray." Discipline. performed five consecutive years at the outdoor progressive rock festival in Chapel Hill, North Carolina known as ProgDay. ProgDay records has released several of these performances on CD including ProgDay '98 (2002), ProgDay Encore (7-CD Box Set) (2001), and ProgDay .95 (1997). Although they released several early cassette recordings, it was not until 1993 that Discipline. released their first CD, "Push & Profit." The release helped the band gain an international audience, and the same year saw the band travel to Norway to support Push & Profit with a mini-tour. Of Discipline.'s pre-CD releases, the most notable is "Chaos out of Order." Recorded in 1987, the album tells the story of a man's struggle to accept a life of unfulfilled aspirations. Though less adventurous than Discipline.'s later recordings, the album contains a hint of what was to come. Other cassette releases include "Faces of the Petty" (1992), "Blueprint" (1992), and "Canto IV" (Limbo) (1995). The cassettes from the 1990s feature live to 2-track mixes of the band engineered by David Krofchok, who was also the band's keyboard player from 1990 to 1993. Yi Nan Wang, a drama produced by Formasa Television (FTV), Taiwan, is a very popular and highly-rated drama. It is the longest drama ever in Taiwan history, total of 526 eposides produced and running 1 hour and 30 min. It started broadcasting on 2004 and ends in 2006. It has received very good crtics and is now currently shown in Malaysia Astro Cable Service and Singapore Mediacorp Channel 8. HISTORY In the 1890's it was a privately owned amusement park. In 1898 led by Burton Smith, a group of 65 Men formed the AAC (Atlanta Athletic Club). It's original clubhouse located on Edgewood Avenue just below the Equitable Building. Within four years the club expaned to more than 700 members and John Heisman, the Georgia Tech football coach whom the Heisman Trophy was named after directed the club's athletic program. The club leaders realized that there was a increasing interest in golf amongst the members. In 1904 the AAC acquired property in southeast Atlanta to create a country club. The AAC hired architecht Tom Bendelow to layout the course now known as East Lake. The grand opening of the course took place on July 4, 1908. Bobby Jones, who was six at the time was present at the opening reception. Bobby Jones who at the age of six was already an active member, later served as president of the club from 1937-1942 and for 38 years as its director. In 1913 the famous golf architect Donald Ross redesigned the course. In 1928 a new "No. 2" course was designed by Donald Ross. In 1963 the 15th Ryder Cup matches were held on the No. 1 Course. In 1966 the ACC sold the No.2 course and later in 1968 moved to a new location in Duluth, GA. Shortly after the 1963 Ryder Cup, the surrounding area of East Lake began to detoriate and fell victim to urban decay. Throughout the 1960's, 70,'s, and 80's the surrounding area of East Lake was crime-riddled. In 1993 a local charitable foundation purchased East Lake. They did this in tribute to Bobby Jones and other great amateur golfers from the club. They restored East Lake creating the spark for revitilization of the surrounding community. In 1994 Rees Jones restored Donald Ross using original Philip Shutze architecturual drawings. The clubhouse was also renewed back to its 1926 condition. In 1998 the PGA hosted the TOUR Championship at East Lake for the first time. This event is the season ending event for the PGA TOUR. Starting from 2007 the FED EX TOUR Standings & Winner will be decided at the TOUR Championship. Club History[edit]Established in 1999, Bournemouth Blackhawks (formerly New Milton Blackhawks) Basketball Club has played in the Solent League for Five seasons. Originally formed by player coach Lloyd Sykeone Hiscox, The Bournemouth Blackhawks have played at local level and will play their first professional season in the BBL division 3 south. The club has been a key force in supplying national league juniors and BBL basketball teams, namely the Solent Stars and Dorset Storm. The Bournemouth Blackhawks Basketball Club has three main teams underneath it's umbrella: The Baby Hawks (Boys and Girls aged between 8-11 years), The Mini Hawks (Boys and Girls aged between 11-16 years) and the Blackhawks (Senior Men). May 25, 2007 TORONTO -- Bank of Nova Scotia and Toronto-Dominion Bank are quietly considering whether to start offering sharia-compliant products, as part of the big banks' strategy to reach out to a growing immigrant population. Representatives at Canada's second- and third-largest banks by market capitalization were among the 200 delegates at the Islamic Finance World conference in Toronto this week. "I can confirm it's something we're tentatively looking at," said Frank Switzer, Scotiabank's spokesman, without providing further detail. TD spokeswoman Kelly Hechler said "it's something we're looking at and we're interested in." That interest comes as Islamic financial services are growing in Canada and abroad. KPMG has estimated worldwide assets at more than $300-billion (U.S.), with global Islamic institutions growing at 15 per cent a year. What was considered fringe three decades ago has now become mainstream. Global banks, from HSBC to Deutsche Bank, are offering sharia-compliant financial services as petrodollars fuel demand from the Middle East. The Gulf region alone has as much as $2-trillion (U.S.) in investments, much of which is flowing abroad. "Every day we are told about the start of a new Islamic bank," Sheik Nizam Yaquby of Bahrain told the Toronto conference. Sharia-compliant products vary and there's little standardization in the sector, which is thought to be the fastest growing in financial services today. Generally, products can't have any explicit interest; transactions can't be in such areas such as gambling, alcohol, pork or pornography; and they can't be deemed as too high risk. Practitioners liken it to any other form of socially responsible investing and stress that it's open to all religions. Canada's been a bit late to the game, but momentum's building. Yesterday, iTrust Partners Inc. launched a $400-million (Canadian) sharia-compliant income fund for Middle Eastern and European investors that are interested in Canadian assets. BMO is the prime brokerage and CIBC is providing administrative services. Retail demand in Canada is still unclear and that may be why the Big Five banks are slow to jump on board. At present, though, services such as mortgages are more expensive. UM Financial Inc. has provided sharia-compliant mortgages to almost 500 homeowners in Ontario - even though it charges a deposit and costs about 0.60 percentage points more than a regular mortgage. Its homeowner mortgages tend to be structured like a rent-to-own system to avoid interest. Demand has been so great that UM Financial has stopped all marketing and has a 5,000-person waiting list of people who want to switch over from conventional mortgages to ones that are sharia-compliant, said Omar Kalair, the chief executive officer of UM Financial. UM wants to offer its mortgages at prices similar to what the banks offer - and to do so it says it's talking with one of the Big Five banks about financial backing. He estimates there are about 200,000 Muslim households in Canada and wants to capture 2.5 per cent of that market within a year or two. In Canada, lawyers from many of the big law firms were in attendance at this week's conference, scrambling to learn about the new, and potentially lucrative, field. "Every indicator we've seen, both statistical and anecdotal, has made it clear that the retail market in Canada is a multibillion-dollar market," said Walied Soliman, a lawyer at Ogilvy Renault LLP. The sector still faces multiple hurdles. Chief among them are a lack of regulation and transparency among many of the fledgling companies offering products. Standardization is another issue, with plenty of debate over what's allowed among the few sharia scholars qualified to approve new investment products. Was a 2 time Pacific Northwest Tag Team Champion with brother Art, as The Juice Patrol Was a 2 time Florida Heavyweight Champion, defeating Scott McGhee on October 14, 1984, and defeating Brian Blair for the title on February 12, 1985. Also won the NWA Florida Southern Heavyweight champion defeating Lex Luger on January 15, 1986. He also had success in Florida in the tag team ranks with his partner Rick Rude. Together with Rick Rude, Jesse, Defeated Mark and Jay Youngblood on April 16th, 1985. They lost the Florida Tag Team Titles to Billy Jack Haynes and Wahoo McDaniel on July 9th, 1985. He would continue wrestling in Florida in singles becoming a babyface in a feud with Lex Luger. Competed in the All Japan World Tag League Tournament in 1985, with Harley Race they would gain Six points. In 1987, Jesse Barr would win the NWA Mid America Title defeating Jeff Jarrett November 2nd. Jesse Barr would join the WWF in 1986 as the fictional brother of The Funk Brothers, Jimmy Jack Funk wrestling with a mask. Would wrestle in Japan, during the end of his career in 1992 winning two Tag Team titles with Ryuma Go. Jesse Barr currently works in the construction business in Portland, Oregon. The graja, pronounced as ['graxa:], (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax barbarus) is an endemic form of the Chough which only lives on the Canary Island La Palma. About the name[edit]The word grajo in Spanish usually means the crow in general, sometimes particularly the Chough. In the Canary dialect, it got - which is not unusual there - a new gender and a new special meaning. The graja is on La Palma also called as Catana (span. slang "clumsy thing") or Chova piquirroja (span. "red-billed chough"). There is no own English word for this subspecies. Recognition[edit]The graja has night black feathers, a very long red bill an red legs which can be seen very easily also when the bird is flying. (Graja chicks first have yellow bills which turn red later.) Their call is a loud and sharp "iaaa iaaa". With its length of about 40cm, the graja is a middle-sized corvidae. Living space[edit]The graja can often be seen in the volcanic rocky heights of La Palma. There it lives mostly in caves an similar places. Wanderers frequently meet them as big noisy swarms. As a hemerophile, the graja also likes trash cans at camping places - which not really everyone is happy about. Food[edit]The grajas' long bills are a very good tool for picking up worms, insects and their larvas, spiders, caterpillars, snails and other small animals. But as the graja also likes trash and fruit, it is not always welcome and sometimes even being hunted. Reproduction[edit]At March or April, there are usually 4 to 5 eggs in the graja's nest. River City Jim is a comedy machinima series created by Ninja Adventure Productions. The series is filmed using the NES game River City Ransom, which was created by Technos Japan Corporation in 1989. The main plotline follows the adventures of a grocery store clerk named Jim who suddenly finds himself being attacked by groups of thugs around every corner. Creation[edit]The series was originally created by Ninja Adventure Productions in June of 2007. After a few months of work, a trailer appeared on popular video sites such as YouTube and MeFeedia on August 2, 2007. Continuing their work, Ninja Adventure Productions put out their pilot episode on August 27, 2007. Within a few days, the episode was featured on world-famous machinima site Machinima.com. Differences from conventional machinima[edit]While influenced by other machinima series such as Red vs. Blue, Civil Protection and This Spartan Life, the series has many differences from modern machinima. Most machinima is created using video games with complex 3D engines, while River City Jim is filmed using River City Ransom, a 2D NES game with very basic graphics and design. It is one of very few machinima series created using a game with a 2D rendering engine. Criticism[edit]River City Jim has been criticized for its simple appearance and lack of post-production editing and effects. While some machinima series rely on custom effects and advanced cinematography to gain popularity, the series focuses more on scripting and humor.
