Canaveral Press was a New York-based publisher of science fiction and related material, primarily in the 1960’s, owned by Jack Biblo and Jack Tannen. Most Canaveral Press titles were reprints of Edgar Rice Burroughs material on which the copyright had lapsed, but Canaveral was on good terms with the Burroughs heirs, and several Canaveral Burroughs titles are legitimate first editions of material not previously published in book form and in some cases not previously published. Canaveral also published original material by E. E. (“Doc”) Smith, L. Sprague and Catherine de Camp, and by Richard Lupoff, who edited much of the Burroughs material. A number of Canaveral Press titles were reprinted in the 1970’s. Canaveral Press is noted for bringing some of the great illustrators of the 1960’s to the Burroughs material—notably Roy G. Krenkel, Reed Crandall and Frank Frazetta. PARTIAL LIST OF CANAVERAL PRESS TITLES
TARZAN AND THE JEWELS OF OPAR (196?) No doubt it’s incomplete, but it’s a start.

In addition to being a contributing editor for Esquire and a contributing writer for Sports Illustrated and GQ, Bradley also authored three more books in the next ten years, Love and Obits, New York, Holt, and London, Bloomsbury, 1992; Smoke, New York, Holt, 1994; and My Juliet, New York, Doubleday, in 2000. Bradley didn't produce another novel until 2004 when Restoration, A Novel was published by Doubleday, New York. A passionate collector of Southern regionalist paintings, Bradley used his insider knowledge and years of research to create a portrait of the city where he lives and its obsession with the past. He writes of a time in the South when painting had little to do with decoration and an artist courted death with every stroke of the brush. To try to make the inclusive of Bishop Hoskins, I submitted an article on him twice -- on August 9 which was rejected because the editor thought my sources were inadequate and on August 10 because the editor thought my article did not explain why Bishop Hoskins was notable enough to warrant an article (apparently most other Canadian Anglican Bishops, I thought my virtue of his office he would be notable enough). Anyway, I am giving up on trying to have an article included. However, could you please update the list of Canadian Anglican Bishops (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Anglican_bishops_by_diocese_in_Canada) to include Rt Rev Derek Balfour Erskine Hoskin? Thank you. 64.141.96.41 15:48, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A little history[edit]In the sixties, lots of new things came up, and sharing a flat was one of them. It was cool to be a roommate, without really having the need of it. Nowadays, things have changed. Being a roommate or flatmate has become a real way of life. Some people are living with others in a flat, since they left their parents. Not only because it is cheaper to be sharing the costs of a rent (even if this is the case in 80%), but because they feel that they want to live together in the same house or flat. New Roommate[edit]New Roommate.co.uk is a website made by 4 people who lived as roommates for the last 11 years. They lived a bit everywhere, from Santa Rosa California, to Montpellier South of France, Barcelona, Freemantle in Australia or even Munich. They have gathered their experiences, and thought that a website with a forum and tips could gather the community of flatmates. The site has just started, but do not hesitate to post, the newroommate team will be happy to help you out! Tips[edit]The Tips section gathers tips like words and expressions to know before signing a contract with a landlord, useful links to embassies worldwide, translations in French / German / Spanish. But there is also a very well explanation, on how swindlers can steal money away from you through the internet. Read it carefully, because if it does happen to you, you can lose hundreds of £ or € and there is not much you will be able to do about it. Links to major Websites[edit]New Roommate is a free website and it is providing you with a list of sites where you can register and find tons of ads. For the international websites, some of the links provided are not translated in English. Use the Tips page to sort it out : most of the common questions and answers are translated to help you out. Robert B. Shepherd Jr.(1985-?)was born in Portland, Maine to mother Susan and father Dr. Robert B. Shepherd Sr. At age two, his sister was born. Gradually, another sister was adopted from South Korea and two younger brothers were born. He gradually rose through the ranks of his public school system and made the most of it through being involved with programs such as the costa rica student exchange and the high school's multiple awardwinning Grammy Signature Highschool music program. He also served as his class president for 8th grade, junior and senior years of high school after having run unsuccessfully for freshman and sophomore years. Upon graduating from Wachusett Regional High School in 2003, he attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science along with a second major in History and a certificate in International Relations. He has done internships with private law firms, public defender's offices, and various Republican political campaigns.During his time at UMASS Amherst, he became very involved with the University's Sudler Award winning Minuteman marching band where he played alto sax as well as served as a rank leader on field staff and as a member of the publicity administrative staff. He also gradually rose his way through campus politics, twice serving as treasurer of the UMASS Republican Club, a Registered Student Organization with one of the highest annual budgets at the school (allocated roughly $20,000 a year). He excelled tremendously at the University of Massachusetts, appearing on the dean's list all 8 semesters. He additionally was invited to and accepted membership with the Pi Sigma Alpha, Phi Alpha Theta, Golden Key, Phi Kappa Phi, and Phi Beta Kappa honor socities. His reasearch included an analysis linking female body types to social trends throughout the twentieth century, a historical analysis of government's treatment of the disabled (which is slated to appear on the disability history museum website at www.disabilitymuseum.org), a political-economic study on the importance of federalism in modern states attempting to economically and politically liberalize, and an analysis of modern literature as a critique of classical political theory. The latter became his senior thesis which is currently housed in the University's library. His study on the importance of federalism in attempts at liberalization, a topic soon to be published in book form, particuarly holds poignant importance for decisionmakers in states like Iraq which are currently trying to maintain national stability while facing the rise of globalization and liberalization. Shepherd graduated Summa cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts' prestigious Commonwealth College Honors program. He then earned a Juris Doctor from the Quinnipiac University School of Law where he graduated Magna cum Laude with an honors concentration tax law. He also earned a Masters in Business Administration from Quinnipiac University and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Shepherd has been published twice: first "What Roosevelt Thought: A Rough Rider's Guide to the USTEA" and secondly "Illegitimacy, Inefficiency and Disrespect: A call for reforming the causes of action for misuse of legal process." Sasha Gindin was born in Leningrad Russia on May 10, 1981. Although he planned to come out on the 37th anniversary of Victory Day, he got held up; perhaps this was a precursor of him being late through out his life. His family immigrated to Pittsburgh PA in the late 80’s and Sasha was introduced to a new life in the provincial Pennsylvania town. Sasha attended middle school in Pittsburgh and during those years, he met his arch nemesis Cyril Khersonsky. Cyril Khersonsky was introduced to the Gindin household through the dating and later marriage of Sonya Gindin, Sasha’s sister, and Cyril’s infamous brother Serge Khersonsky. (The future achievements of the successful pair would create much pressure for Sasha and Cyril to attain success) Cyril and Sasha did not see eye to eye at first, due to Sasha’s inherent need to make fun of Cyril, which made Cyril quite peeved. The two parted ways only to reconnect and family happenings and later at Indiana University. Sasha attended Indiana University in 2000 as he learned the “rules of the road” in picking up chicks. Although Sasha changed his mind in majors quite often, he learned that nothing in life is easy and one needs to study to progress in life. He also learned that one must be of great stature to impress girlfriends’ fathers (Cyril recalled from a Minnesota trip he had with Sasha) In 2002, Sasha decided to leave Indiana for the Quaker state, as he missed it much. He finished his degree in finance and MIS at University of Pittsburgh and had many lucrative job offers for employment. Sasha decided to go with Morgan Stanley, the very successful Wall Street Investment Bank. After obtaining employment, Sasha dove in to his work and became a changed man. He was constantly on his beeper/blackberry and bought a overcoat to look more formidable on the harsh streets of New York City. As he traveled back to the Quaker state, innocent and unknowing young girls fell head over heals over young Gindin. In 2006, Sasha Gindin broke his leg while going down the Belt Parkway (ski slope in Hunter NY) as he was trying to impress young women. As he sped around the turn, he lost control, and had to go down the mountain in a yellow sled. He still blames Serge and Cyril Khersonsky for loosing his shoe but both deny responsibility. Today, Sasha resides in New York City and holds an important role at Morgan Stanley. Over the years, he has smitten many women; some say he is a reincarnation of Casanova. He has many talents like playing guitar, singing, drawing, cooking and pretty much anything he puts his mind to. He sometimes acts pretty bitchy but he is still a swell guy. Peroxyde
[edit]
Peroxyde was formed in late 2006 in Chateauguay, Quebec, Canada. The band had it's origin back when Max (Bass) and Renaud (Guitar) each got guitars. Stephen (Guitar) persued and also aquired a guitar. After months of practicing Punk and pop-punk songs together, Max purchased an electric Bass and the earliest form of what would become Peroxyde took shape. Nearly a year later, the trio recruited Michael as a drummer. A week later, Steven joined as singer. As soon as the lineup was solidified, the band began writting songs
The first song written by the quintet was "Cosmic Clowns" The rhythm and Lead guitar along with bass and half of the lyrics were written almost a year before. Since then, Peroxyde has written nearly 30 songs, not including the odd cover song they happen to play. A source close to the band has stated that the band will use "around 10" songs for their debut L.P. which remains untitled. Sources[edit]24.203.236.163 21:43, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notable psychedelic self-experimenters are individuals who have publicly reported on their personal experiences with Psychedelic_drugs like LSD and "magic mushrooms". Some of these comments date from the era when LSD was legally available in the US and Europe for non-medical uses, and others pertain to psychiatric treatment in the 1950s and 60s. Still others describe experiences with illegal LSD, obtained for philosophic, artistic, therapeutic, spiritual, or recreational purposes. This list consists of the names of individuals mentioned in the media, together with the instance in which their self-experimentation was discussed.
