Ensure Electcom is current on all RfCs
[edit]It was just pointed out that all three of us missed the RfC on renaming "neutral" to "abstain" in the SecurePoll. This should be reflected in the checklist for next year. —CYBERPOWER (Message) 01:01, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Number of candidates same as number of places?
[edit]I'm sure I've missed something; perhaps someone can wise me up? I notice that the number of people presently on the Arb ctte appears to be the same (12) as the number of candidates. This seems surprising, to me at least, given the size of the Wiki community. As I say, I'm likely missing something but it'd be good to know what. - @Emmentalist:, the committee experienced several resignations this past year, so yes, it is currently down to twelve sitting arbitrators. Only six of those twelve have time left on their current term, so there are nine open seats.

Ah, I see, Thanks, Just Step Sideways, that's really helpful. Emmentalist (talk) 18:20, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
I wanna go home....
[edit]I may not be the only one who feels like, from a candidate standpoint, this takes forever. I believe stats from past elections pretty clearly demonstrate that the vast majority of votes are made in the first few days days, perhaps shortening the voting period to maybe seven-ten days should be discussed at next years rules RFC . - @Just Step Sideways: I've already started a discussion about that. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 02:50, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
