Wee hours[1][2], postmidnight[3][4][5], overnight, small hours[6][7], wee small hours[8], early hours[9], predawn[10][11][12], oh-dark-thiry, zero-dark-thirty, oh-dark-hundred or zero-dark-hundred is darkness period between midnight until before dawn.

It is the period when people are already sleeping, and it is also considered the period when bats and owls come into action. It is also the silent period, where the streets are generally empty.

Witching hour is the period associated with witches, ghosts, demons, macabre and supernatural moments. Definitions are different, and include the time between midnight until 1:00 AM or the time between 3:00 AM until 4:00 AM.[13][14][15]

Brahmamuhurta
