Alert
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have recently shown interest in living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

August 2018

Your recent editing history at Jordan Peterson shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Doug Weller talk 10:57, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
Please note that I've added this warning because it appears you've never been given one and are probably unaware of it. I know that you are aware of the new restriction on the article and have no reason to think you'll ignore it. Doug Weller talk 10:58, 11 August 2018 (UTC)

Totally trivial point about punctuation (but you asked for advice!)
Hi, I'm user:Girth Summit. I wouldn't normally be this pedantic, but on your user page you say that you want to improve your grammar, and you ask for messages to help you improve, so I've got two suggestions about changes you could make to you user page:
- Hello, I'm just another Wikipedia user like you who want to contribute to this vast pool of human knowledge in my own limited way and improve my grammar.
The word 'want' should be 'wants' - even though you are talking about yourself, this is third person usage rather than first person. 'I want', but 'another Wikipedia user wants'.
- My main expertise is in politics, singapore and random trivia, If you want to correct anything...
I think you want to use a full stop, instead of a comma, after the word 'trivia' to end your sentence. You should also give Singapore a capital S, since it's a proper noun.
I hope this is helpful, and please take it as supportive encouragement - my only other language is French, but I would not be brave enough to edit on the French Wikipedia site, so kudos to you for trying to improve your English! Girth Summit (talk) 00:17, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah I should edit my user page it's pretty embarrassing, I'm a native English speaker but my grammar and spelling are atrocious.Zubin12 (talk) 00:33, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
- To be honest, most native English speakers are atrocious at grammar - as a teacher, I often receive letter from parents that have me reaching for the red pen! Having said that, there are more issues with your new user page...
- I'm just another Wikipedia User...
- User isn't a proper noun - it doesn't need a capital letter.
- ...whose trying to improve their grammar and spelling by...
- whose is a possessive pronoun (as in 'Whose pencil is this?') - you should write 'who's', a contraction of 'who is'
- ...in politics, economics and Sociology but...
- Sociology isn't a proper noun - it doesn't need a capital letter either.
- Again, hope this is helpful - please feel free to tell me to piss off at any time! Girth Summit (talk) 00:56, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
- It's fine, I've done the changes. These days I mostly rely on Grammarly for my Grammer. It's strange how non-native speakers tend to have the best grammar. Zubin12 (talk) 01:05, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
- I think that the best way to really understand the grammar of your own language is to learn another one: you can't help noticing the differences, and that focuses your mind on stuff you think you know. You're absolutely right, some of the best formal writers I know in the English language are actually Dutch or Norwegian natives - they have been forced to learn the rules of English in a way that native speakers haven't, and are actually more familiar with our idiosyncrasies than most native speakers are. Anyway, I'll take my red pen elsewhere - happy editing! Girth Summit (talk) 01:22, 18 August 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Andria D'Souza
Hello Zubin12, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Andria D'Souza, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: anchoring a show on a notable network and roles in multiple films are sufficient to indicate significance. User WP:AFD instead. If you are interested in learning more about how speedy deletion works, I have compiled a list of helpful pages at User:SoWhy/SDA. You can of course also contact me if you have questions. Thank you. SoWhy 09:22, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Hey, I'm not going to edit-war with you over this, but you are familiar with the WP:BRD cycle, right? You make a bold edit, you get reverted, you disagree with the revert and so you discuss it on the article talk page. You don't revert again, using edit summaries to argue your point. If someone else also disagrees, what are they supposed to do, revert again, also using edit summaries to argue their point? No, that is what talk pages are for.
You removed a significant amount of sourced and linked content over what appeared to be a minor, easily-fixable issue. You were reverted, but the issue you complained about was also addressed as well. However, you've just reverted again, now complaining about something else, within the same content (!?). I would suggest you self-revert and restore that content, then post a comment on the article talk page explaining why you feel that content needs to be removed. Give others, (including myself) an opportunity to discuss your concerns and perhaps come to an agreeable compromise. Thanks - wolf 01:07, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

User talk page warnings
Hi, I didn't know if you were aware, but when someone posts something egregious like User talk:114.74.102.202, you don't have to start with a level 1 warning. Sometimes it is appropriate to start with a level 2 or 3 warning. A level 1 warning is more appropriate for a user that may not realize that the edit they are making isn't constructive, not for someone who clearly wants to vandalize wikipedia. Natureium (talk) 14:30, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

Prayagraj
Please do not use your bias to edit or revert any new changes to the page. As its well known that Government of UP has changed the name to Prayagraj, accordingly this page title must be changed. I do not understand how making changes more up to date and relevant became unconstructive and disruptive. Please verify the truth before reverting back any changes made.

ArbCom 2018 election voter message
Hello, Zubin12. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
GA nomination of Occupation of Japan
Hello, my message is in relation to your nomination of Occupation of Japan for GA review. I've noticed that you've only made a small number of edits to the article, and given the fact that the article still has paragraphs that are unsourced, I think the nomination was too early or not thought out beforehand. Hello, I saw your edit on the SGpedians' notice board. As I wrote on the meta page of Wikimedia Singapore, we should recruit with Massmessage and a singapore-targeted Centralnotice banner. Chapters usually begins as a User Group, maybe we should create one first and organize contests in SG like Wiki Loves Monuments and Wiki Loves Earth for a year and then ask to become a chapter. --CreativeC (talk) 09:10, 30 December 2018 (UTC)

When you edited the page specified above, the result made little sense. Also, why did you remove so much material? The edit summary isn’t all that clear. Regards, Willbb234 (talk) 12:27, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry but the content's assertation took a statement said in just as serious, I'll try and edit it to be better but as they stand it's highly dubious.Zubin12 (talk) 12:41, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service
Hi Zubin12! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over six months.
In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in six months.
You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:
- Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
- Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
- Paste
{{Frs user|Zubin12|limit}}
underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month. - Publish the page.
If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.
Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! Message delivered to you with love by Yapperbot :) | Is this wrong? Contact my bot operator. | Sent at 18:01, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
