This end the usual RFA thanks spam. You may return to your regular editing now.

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!
New crypto articles that pass GNG
[edit]Hi xDanielx, thanks a lot for saving Polygon (blockchain). I was surprised that such a notable blockchain network would be deleted, considering that it's even been used by the likes of JPMorgan Chase and Trump. There are many other notable cryptocurrencies that probably shouldn't have been deleted either. Like you, I just have an amateur interest in crypto.
The following should clearly pass WP:GNG - here is a selection of several cryptocurrencies that are in the top 50-100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, with existing articles in other Wikipedia language editions (particularly German), that should be notable enough for the English Wikipedia. For whatever reason, they are not in English yet. Some are previously deleted articles that may have not been properly sourced, but they should be OK if properly written and cited.
I'd like to get started with these, maybe by translating directly from the German Wikipedia while adding some additional citations to beef them up:
- NEM (cryptocurrency) (deleted several times), de:NEM (Kryptowährung)
 - Aave (deleted several times), de:Aave
 - VeChain (salted in 2021), de:VeChain

Some others that I want to work on later:
- Iota (protocol), de:Iota (Kommunikationsprotokoll)
 - Waves (cryptocurrency), de:Waves (Kryptowährung)
 - Particl (cryptocurrency), de:Particl (Kryptowährung)
 - Theta (cryptocurrency), de:Theta (Kryptowährung)
 - (and maybe some more in this list)

I'm really familiar with creating mathematics articles, but crypto seems to invoke the wrath of deletionists. That's why I haven't created any new articles about cryptocurrencies yet, but I'd like to get started soon, particularly on NEM and Aave. VeChain would be a bit of a pain to recreate since it's salted. If you're interested in helping out, let me know! LagrangianFox (talk) 09:02, 19 September 2025 (UTC)
- I just published Aave. Hope this is a good start. It looks like you haven't been active on Wikipedia recently, so let me know when you're back. LagrangianFox (talk) 18:07, 1 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hi LagrangianFox - thank you for your work on this! I'm sorry I can't help much in the near future, as I don't expect to have much time for editing, though I can try to keep an eye out and participate in any notability discussions.
 - I agree, there's quite a lack of coverage of crypto topics. I think a lot of it has to do with the perception of major crypto outlets like WP:COINDESK. There are somewhat valid concerns, but I feel like we're losing a lot of useful signals by essentially ignoring all crypto media in notability evaluations, since that's where probably 90%+ of the coverage is for many crypto projects.
 - From your Coinmarketcap list, Hyperliquid also stands out as one that feels extremely notable, though maybe it would be hard to find enough depth in non-crypto sources since mainstream audiences don't know about perpetual futures... — xDanielx T/C\R 04:16, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks xDanielx! Hyperliquid (HYPE) is currently ranked #11 on Coinmarketcap, and I think it's worth a try. LagrangianFox (talk) 11:10, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
