Hu requested that this article be moved to Commonwealth of Nations postal orders. He says on his request: The mover says the prior title is nonsensical, but "Commonwealth" is ambiguous, and the backing article is Commonwealth of Nations anyway (referenced in the article), so the pre-move title is correct.--HarryHenryGebel 15:03, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:Hu's reasoning just doesn't make sense at all, I'm afraid. Titles of articles have to make sense. By including 'Commonwealth of Nations' at the start of a title in an article is VERY BAD English language use. This is no joke! - (Numismaticman 18:51, 23 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Perhaps the article should be titled Postal Orders of the Commonwealth of Nations, this would make it consistent with other Postal Orders articles and would (I hope) eliminate whatever objection you have to the current name; unless your objection is to the name Commonwealth of Nations, in which case: too bad, that is what it is called now. --HarryHenryGebel 20:58, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently Numismaticman has been permanently banned. Do you think Commonwealth of Nations Postal Orders or Postal Orders of the Commonwealth of Nations is a better title. I think it should just be deleted, since it is just a non-descript collection of links to articles that have nothing to do with postal orders. I will ProD it (Propose it for Deletion) and it can get deleted in due course. Now I don't know why I even bothered with it long ago. Oppose - FWIW I'm not sure that it needs moving. "Commonwealth" is a bit like "Elvis" - yes there are other ones, but only one is commonly meant by the term, particularly in the context of collecting things like stamps - and by extension postal orders. And as others have said "Commonwealth of Nations postal orders" just sounds horrible, as well as wordy. That's assuming that it's kept, anyway. FlagSteward 18:03, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move, delete or rename, or even better merge?

Well which is suggested? The convention for philatelic and numismatic titling of articles related to regions would make this Postal Orders of the Commonwealth of Nations just like Postal Orders of Ireland or Postal Orders of the United Kingdom but because there is little real substance here right now a merge to Postal order, omitting the list of links, would seem the best solution right now. Far better than any of the other suggestions. If someone comes up with information for these postal orders, then it can be re-evaluated at that time but something needs to happen now. ww2censor 18:21, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I just did a search for instances of "postal orders" and there are many articles related to the very country names in this article (and some additional ones) where there are specific articles on the postal orders of those countries, so maybe some one should link the appropriate articles. At an initial look it seems like 30+ postal order articles could be linked directly to this page making the argument that it is just a list of country links a totally improper reason for deleting the page.
