Deletion query
Hello, you deleted my page Professor Neil Greenberg - due to copyright infringement I believe (although the content is factual about a person so not sure of the copyright error). I wanted to amend the page and change the text so that copyright isn't an issue. I can add the page again with the changes I presume but is it possible to undelete so I can amend the original?
Many thanks

Hello, I'm also new to wikipedia and you just deleted my page. But just like y Sadkins1953 I am the owner of the copyright of the page http://contumancia.com/javier-zugarramurdi/
Now I want to know how can I put the page back like it was.
Many thanks for your help. J.

Hi. I was working on the page Draft:Electrodiagnostic medicine and it was nominated for deletion deletion due to bot-flagged copyright infringement. It was given a speedy deletion under G12, yet I am the copyright owner of the infringing material and sent in an email as directed in the wikipedia copyrighted material donation section. I also added the OTRS pending tag; however, I may have placed it in the wrong spot since I'm new to wikipedia editing. I plan on adding more third party source material, but, since it was deleted, I cannot work on it anymore. If you don't want to undo the deletion can you send me the raw text of the page so I can work on it and resubmit it at a later date? Thanks,
Sadkins1953 (talk) 03:18, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
After looking further into the email, I made formatting errors and need to resend it to properly donate the material. However, as before, I need the raw text to clarify which pages I used and am donating.
Sadkins1953 (talk) 03:29, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
I had emailed that I was the copyright owner of the electrodiagnostic medicine material and was awaiting a response. I also was working on adding source material. Can you please undo the deltion so I can continue to work on the page?

Thanks for your handling of User_talk:Wizardman/Archive56#A_cup_of_coffee_for_you.21. You recognized a path to resolution and I hope when I am in the same situation again then I think about how you wrapped up a conflict among multiple people in no time with little effort. Hi WizardMan. Your name just popped up on my watchlist, because you updated the WikiProject tags on a couple articles I brought up to GA. You did GA reviews for a couple articles where I have a COI - I think it was Noel Lee and Sig Mejdal. Because I follow WP:COI, which requires an editor with a COI lean very heavily on disinterested editors to review their work and whatnot, I always have a need for other editors to collaborate on certain pages and was wondering if you had time to take a look at a few articles I'm working on. Help with Vianovo draft
Hi there. I'm reaching out because you recently helped my colleague user:16912 Rhiannon update Tucker Eskew's article. I've written an article draft for Tucker's firm, Vianovo, and I was hoping you might take a look since you have some familiarity with the topic. I've submitted it to Articles for Creation, but it hasn't been properly reviewed due to the backlog. I did have one editor leave a comment, but it was fairly dismissive based on my conflict of interest—like my colleague, I'm working on behalf of Vianovo. I'd really appreciate any feedback or help if you have the time! Thanks, Heatherer (talk) 20:05, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- Just to update you, the draft has now been taken live. However, a COI tag added by an editor while the draft was in waiting for review at AfC remains on the article. The editor said they weren't sure about the WP:COI guidelines, so I understand they thought they were being helpful by flagging the article for other reviewers. However, the reviewing editor took the article live without responding to my disclosure or to the tag and I'm not sure what, if anything, needs adjusting in the draft. I've reached out to the editor who moved the draft to see if they'll remove it, but if you have a time could you review and see if there are any issues with the content? If it looks OK, I'd appreciate if you could remove the tag. Thanks Heatherer (talk) 22:20, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

I just saw that you deleted the page I created on the Swiss actor Philippe Reinhardt.

My question:
Is there any way to get to the original text? I can easily write a new bio, but would prefer not having to redo the other parts (credits, etc...), which were conform with the rules.

GA Cup - The Finals
![]() GA Cup competitors and observers: Get ready, we're about to move into the finals of the inaugural GA Cup! Not nearly as important as another competition taking place this weekend, but significant none the less. No deflated footballs here, though! Thursday saw the end of Round 4. Out of the 8 contestants in the semi-finals, 5 have moved to the finals. The semi-finals continued to be very competitive. The highest scorer overall was Ritchie333 from Pool B, with an impressive 488 points and a total of 36 articles reviewed, the most of any competitor; close behind was Jaguar (last round's wildcard), with 477 points and 29 reviews. At times, the competition between them was a real horse-race, and exciting for the judges to witness. Both Ritchie333 and Jaguar have moved onto the finals. In Pool A, Good888 with 294 points, and Wizardman with 179 also won slots in the final. 3family6 with 285 points, won the wildcard slot. We also had one withdrawal, due to outside-of-Wikipedia priorities. Congrats to all! Although there were just 8 competitors, more reviews were conducted this round than in any other round—148, which demonstrates the commitment and enthusiasm of our participants. The most successful competitors, like in all previous rounds, reviewed articles that languished in the queue at GAC for at least five months (worth 18 points). The Boat Race articles were popular review choices again, with almost 20% of the articles reviewed this month. In other news, we received another report from GA statistics page maintainer User:AmericanLemming. See here [1] for his take on the effect the GA Cup has had on Good Article reviews. He believes that we've made a real difference. AmericanLemming says: "As you can see, ...the GA Cup has done wonders when it comes to getting the oldest nominations reviewed much sooner thanks to the system whereby you get the most points for reviewing the oldest articles." Everyone involved with this competition, especially the competitors, should be very proud of what we've been able to accomplish! The Final will start on February 1 at 0:00:01 UTC and end on February 26 at 23:59:59 UTC with a winner being crowned. Information about the Final can be found here. Good luck to all our finalists! Francis F. Lee article: 09 February 2015
Hello Wizardman, I submitted an article "Francis F. Lee" that was rejected by Eurodyne on Feb 4, for the following reason: "This submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability." I responded on his Talk page with an appeal and have not heard anything back. While waiting, I saw that you've been offering excellent guidance to Eurodyne. I have a feeling Eurodyne declined the article because my references lack a "gold standard" objective source, such as a highly reputable, nationally distributed publication. Alas, such testimonials are not always available. In the case of Dr. Lee, we are talking about a mostly "behind the scenes" academic-inventor-entrepreneur. And yet, as just one example of a more public notability, Lee began an invention as a professor at MIT; he further developed and produced the invention under the auspices of the company he founded, Lexicon; his invention and Lexicon were awarded an Emmy for technical achievement, in 1984. (Hey, if you can't trust the Emmy committee, who can you trust?) My full appeal appears on Eurodyne's Talk page. Normally, I would be patient. However, I just learned that Dr. Lee, age 88, has been diagnosed with cancer. Am I being too sentimental in hoping that Dr. Lee's contributions to both the U.S. medical technology and the music industry will be available to all your readers in the very near future? I appreciate any help you can offer! Sincerely yours, Sabrina Sabrina Barton (talk) 21:55, 9 February 2015 (UTC) Sabrina Barton (talk) 21:45, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
About your (non)participation in the January 2012 SOPA vote
Hi Wizardman. I am Piotr Konieczny (User:Piotrus), you may know me as an active content creator (see my userpage), but I am also a professional researcher of Wikipedia. Recently I published a paper (downloadable here) on reasons editors participated in Wikipedia's biggest vote to date (January 2012 WP:SOPA). I am now developing a supplementary paper, which analyzes why many editors did not take part in that vote. Which is where you come in :) You are a highly active Wikipedian (55th!), and you were active back during the January 2012 discussion/voting for the SOPA, yet you did not chose to participate in said vote. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me why was that so? For your convenience, I prepared a short survey at meta, which should not take more than a minute of your time. I would dearly appreciate you taking this minute; not only as a Wikipedia researcher but as a fellow content creator and concerned member of the community (I believe your answers may help us eventually improve our policies and thus, the project's governance). PS. If you chose to reply here (on your userpage), please WP:ECHO me. Thank you! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 23:10, 11 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello Wizardman. I was going to create an article for the information security certification: Information Systems Security Architecture Professional and I saw that you are the Wikipedia Administrator who deleted a prior article about this topic as "No credible indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content, events))" The earlier article may not have been well written but the certification has significant coverage and industry importance. - Hi Thetechgirl. There really wasn't much in the article - about 8 lines, basically a brief description of the qualifications and how to obtain the designation. The three refs that were there were included were from Info Security Magazine (which seems to be based on a press release), and the second is from the organisation's own website... neither would be considered independent. The third one was from ZDNET, and the mention of the qualification is on a list of ones that "are paying off" (so one line about this qualification, which hardly could be considered significant coverage). None of these would be suitable in themselves from what I can see.
- Before I would consider restoring it to your userspace, could you perhaps give a couple of sources here to indicate the kind of independent and reliable sources you would be using? Please leave a talkback on my talk page, as that is easier for me to monitor! Thanks, PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 01:40, 7 March 2015 (UTC)

2014-2015 GA Cup Wrap-Up
![]() The inaugural GA Cup is now over! The competition officially ended Thursday. Congrats to everyone who participated, and especially to our finalists. The winner of the 2014/2015 GA Cup is Jaguar! He earned an impressive 615 points, despite only being a wildcard in the Round 4. The key to Jaguar's success seemed to be reviewing lots of articles as well as reviewer the oldest nominations; he reviewed 39 nominations in this round. Overall, the key to everyone's success was reviewing articles that had been in the queue for at least three months, which was true throughout the competition. In second place was Wizardman, with 241 points, and following close behind in third place was Good888, with 211 points. Congrats! Although there were a couple of bumps along the way, the judges have thoroughly enjoyed managing this competition. We hope that the participants had fun as well. The GA Cup was a resounding success, and that's due to all of you. The judges sincerely thank each and every participant, and for the editors who were willing to subject their articles to this process. We learned a lot. For example, we learned that even with meticulous planning, it's impossible to anticipate every problem. We learned that the scoring system we set up wasn't always the most effective. The enthusiasm and motivation of Wikipedians is awesome, and we enjoyed watching what was sometimes fierce competition. We look forward to the second GA Cup later this year. We reached many of our goals. See here for GA Cup statistics. We made a big difference, especially in shortening the length of time articles spend in the queue, and in reducing the backlog. Overall, 578 nominations were reviewed throughout the competition and a total of 8,184 points were awarded. Everyone involved should be very proud of what we've accomplished through the GA Cup. Stay tuned for more information about our next competition. There will be some much-needed changes made in the scoring system next time. We appreciate your feedback, and commit to seriously consider it. If you haven't already, please fill out the feedback form here. If you're interested in being a judge in our second GA Cup, please let one of our judges know or click on the tab found in the feedback form. Again, thanks to all and congratulations to our winners! WikiCup 2015 March newsletter

That's it, the first round is done, sign-ups are closed and we're into round 2. 64 competitors made it into this round, and are now broken into eight groups of eight. The top two of each group will go through to round 3, and then the top scoring 16 "wildcards" across all groups. Round 1 saw some interesting work on some very important articles, with the round leader Freikorp (submissions) owing most of his 622 points scored to a Featured Article on the 2001 film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within which qualified for a times-two multiplier. This is a higher score than in previous years, as
Godot13 (submissions) had 500 points in 2014 at the end of round 1, and our very own judge,
Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) led round 1 with 601 points in 2013.
In addition to Freikorp's work, some other important articles and pictures were improved during round one, here's a snapshot of a few of them:
Cwmhiraeth (submissions) took Bumblebee, a level-4 vital article, to Good Article;
AHeneen (submissions) worked-up the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 article, also to Good Article status;
Rodw (submissions) developed an extremely timely article to Good Article, taking Magna Carta there some 800 years after it was first sealed;
- And last but not least,
Godot13 (submissions) (FP bonus points) worked up a number of Featured Pictures during round 1, including the 1948 one Deutsche Mark (pictured right), receiving the maximum bonus due to the number of Wikis that the related article appears in.
You may also wish to know that The Core Contest is running through the month of March. Head there for further details - they even have actual prizes!

Wizardman, can you please take a look at this one? The only comment from the reviewer makes me wonder at the thoroughness of the review—there was another similar-length comment on a review that same day that was listed immediately—but the reviewer hasn't edited on Wikipedia since that day, so someone's going to have to take over. The only question is whether it's a direct takeover, or if the review is abandoned because the reviewer vanished and the nomination placed back in the pool. Thanks. Can you please userfy this article for me. I am making an article and saw that you were the deleting administrator. [2]. CrazyAces489 (talk) 15:12, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
- I am declining it. This is a different Frank Washington. No need to userfy. All the best. CrazyAces489 (talk) 15:35, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Reviewing block of Pinay06
Hi, Wizardman. I'm reviewing the block you made against Pinay06 last November and I was wondering if I can get your comments on it before weighing in on a decision. It would be great if I can get your input. Thanks! :) --Sky Harbor (talk) 04:51, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
You deleted this as A7. I don't see how it is one of the things falling into that category, since it's a certification, not group of people. Not that it's a good article, but we should follow process. And it does have references, so please restore it. I know I could do it myself, but I like to ask. DGG ( talk ) 05:54, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Deletion of "Cincinnati Bearcats baseball" redirect
Why did you delete "Cincinnati Bearcats baseball" as a redirect? Hundreds of college baseball teams yet to have pages and probably won't have pages for a while and this creates tons of redlinks on pages rather than a redirect as a placeholder. Mpejkrm (talk) 17:15, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- The placeholder just appears deceptive, making it look like there's an article when there's not. With a redlink at least there will be people seeing it and willing to write an article to fill the redlink, rather than the way we have it currently. Wizardman 21:13, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- I've put a discussion up on the WikiProject page to see if we can reach a consensus. Mpejkrm (talk) 12:12, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
Template:NJ-school-stub
Hi, Wizardman! I would like to see a discussion about the Template:NJ-school-stub. I think it would make a good redirect. WhisperToMe (talk) 07:14, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- I'd prefer to allow editors to have multiple ways of skinning the cat, so to speak. In general with redirects, if the name is plausible it becomes a matter of why not. I would like to take this to Redirects for discussion if that's okay. WhisperToMe (talk) 23:27, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Revert GA review?
Wizardman, can you please take a look at WT:GAN#Boeing 787 Dreamliner? It looks like Talk:Boeing 787 Dreamliner/GA2 had been reviewed and approved by AlanZhu314159265358979, a new and clearly inexperienced Wikipedia editor, whose previous GA review, Talk:Abortion/GA1, had also been approved before that approval was reverted by Binksternet. It's approaching seven days since this newest review was "listed", and when I did a spot check of the article, I saw some prose issues that should certainly have been raised by a competent reviewer.
I won't repeat any more of what I said on the GAN talk page; I'm hoping you can do whatever steps are appropriate to handle this, whether reversion or something else entirely. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:45, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of John Paciorek
The article John Paciorek you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:John Paciorek for things which need to be addressed.
