Comments on IPA change on 'Butuan':
[edit]This is a brief explanation for anyone who might wonder about an edit I just made to the page on Butuan (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Butuan&oldid=729288092).
In addition to the IPA change, careful editors might notice that my IPA rendition places the 't' in the second emphasized syllable.
The original pronunciation notation written on the page was 'boot-wan'. My IPA rendition corresponds to something more like 'boo-TWAHN'.
I placed the 't' sound in the second emphasized syllable because that's how I've heard local native speakers pronounce it.
I hope I'm splitting hairs, but I'm happy to be educated to the contrary by anyone who considers this change to be uninformed.
