- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]You added a huge amount of content to this article that was not encyclopedic and appears to have been copied from somewhere. Please do not add it again and do not accuse the person who removed it of vandalism. You are welcome to extract information from a source to summarise in your own words. Perhaps the advice above will help. J3Mrs (talk) 09:32, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
In reply to your email, (Please use talk pages to discuss this article, I have them watch listed). The article was too long, not written in a concise summary style and off topic. Wikipedia is not the place for the definitive complete history of anything, articles are meant meant to summarise the main points with links to other related articles. The information I removed was far too detailed for Wikipedia. Chetham's School of Music is about the right length and has an appropriate amount of detail. J3Mrs (talk) 18:21, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Curriculum at MHSG in the 1880s.pdf
[edit]
A tag has been placed on File:Curriculum at MHSG in the 1880s.pdf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip (e.g. a Word document or PDF file) that has no encyclopedic use.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The file File:Page of MHSG School Magazine on Botanical Club.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Orphaned file with no obvious value in transferring to Commons
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Salavat (talk) 14:41, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
