- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at firstโit's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Fonts and typefaces
[edit]Good to see that I'm not the only one irritated by sloppy usage!
If your interest is more general, you might consider joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Typography when you get settled in. Welcome again to Wikipedia. --๐๐๐ฝ (talk) 20:10, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
Wiki-linking phrases
[edit]You may notice that I changed your
- low vision readers
to
- readers with impaired vision
Some points for your information going forward. (no harm done, it was easily fixed).
- it is legitimate, even preferred, to link the whole phrase, not just each word.
- if somebody clicks on vision, they should arrive at an article actually about vision, not one about impaired vision. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Intuitiveness, commonly abbreviated to WP:EGG or WP:EASTEREGG for the long explanation.
- "people with impairment" is not Wikipedia policy, just my personal hobby-horse. People are not their disability, it is just something they have. If you really want to jerk my chain, write "facilities for the disabled"
.
All part of the learning experience. ๐๐๐ฝ (talk) 20:26, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
