An apology to User4edits
[edit]To User4edits I sincerely apologise for my behaviour towards your work. For the past few days I have been working continuously on logos of several important wikipedia pages and their logos and it takes huge amount of time and effort to convert them in SVG vector format and make them right and to do justice to quality for the institution and it took a toll on me and irritated me as a whole and I misbehaved with another respected editor on the same platform. Thank you. Vanshu7002 (talk) 12:04, 6 February 2026 (UTC)

Regarding edits on Lovely Professional University Page
[edit]Hi @User4edits I received feedback from you regarding the edits on LPU page. I wanted to understand how adding a 'Notable Alumni' section on the page is considered promotional, because I see it added on other university pages as well, and is a standard section. Also, most of the alumni added are Olympic medalists and sports players of repute, and citations were also added. Before this, you also removed the global ranking that I had added for the university from US World Report & News, which is a well-known EdTech organization. Your explanation will be helpful in understanding the approach here, since I am editing other university pages as well. This is from the approach to make the pages more wholesome and updated. Supriya.jain2511 (talk) 06:10, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Supriya.jain2511,
Thank you for taking the time to read. The notable alumni of other universities are those who have actually attended classes and were part of the university. In the case of LPU, the notable alumni do not seem to such. Please see this. Wikipedia works by Consensus, and I think there was a discussion specifically on this subject about LPU where it was discussed to not add them as Notable Alumni. Now, global ranking, the rankings you have seen on other pages are Times Higher Education World University Rankings and QS World University Rankings. These are mentioned on Lovely Professional University as well. Other niche rankings are usually not added to pages as they are not universally accepted or participated. Overall global rankings give a fair picture of the institute. Thanks for your edits and happy editing! Thanks, Please feel free to ping/mention -- User4edits (T) 08:15, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
