This seems OK to me to oversee The Interwiki Report section and coordinate for publication but I don't think it is a good idea to actually write about Wikipedias in other languages. These reports should be written by insiders - a person from a given Wikipedia language version that is willing to contribute such report.
By the way I see there are reservations regarding making the Interwiki Report a regular feature. The point about the Signpost being basically about the English Wikipedia seems quite valid but on the other hand I think only WP-De has Wikikurier I think.
Once I tried to establish something like The Signpost on the Meta. It might function like this: Embassies submit several very short (1-3 sentences) stories in English and then ambassadors translate them into their languages. Finally you get a uniform Interwiki Report in different languages (I think 7-8 languages would do).
The Wikipedia:Wikiproject SpongeBob SquarePants newsletter is a monthly newsletter posted on the first of the month. AMK152 and ForestH2 write and publish it. If you have any questions or comments please post it on there talk pages.

We are trying to make several articles good or featured articles. We would like your help reaching featured article status. Episode Pages: Info boxes need to be complete on each episode article. (Template:SpongeBob episode) Also, a screenshot of each title card for each episode needs to be complete on each episode article to improve it.
Games: The SpongeBob game articles need to be expanded, especially the stubs. See here: Template:SpongeBob Games.
SpongeBob Books - On the List of SpongeBob SquarePants Media, there needs to be a section for SpongeBob SquarePants books, list their names and a description of the book.
Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Opt Out List.
