Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Mil Mi-8 has been reverted.
Your edit here to Mil Mi-8 was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ch4-KZnldwE) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Pravda.ru

[edit]

Why did you remove the tags around the references? Please restore the references, see WP:INCITE. Sjö (talk) 05:45, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please link to English articles, not article titles in the Cyrillic alphabet. Sjö (talk) 09:59, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your feedback. We added links to English and other language pages to provide additional sources of information, especially in cases where facts can be supported by sources in other languages. This practice is commonly used in the Russian Wikipedia and helps to provide a more complete context. All added links are in line with the principles of neutrality and fact-checking Topsmi (talk) 13:45, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That was not what I meant. For example you changed the link to the article Konstantin Kostin (politician) to Костин, Константин Николаевич. Please fix this. Sjö (talk) 14:42, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the neutrality of your edits is dubious. It looks to me that you deleted criticism and added text intended to support that Pravda.ru is a very trustworthy and independent news source. Which makes me ask: who are these ”we” you write about and are you in any way connected to the subject of the article? Sjö (talk) 15:06, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your comments. I see now that the links to the Russian Wikipedia did not appear as expected. When we used Cyrillic titles, our intention was to link directly to the corresponding Russian Wikipedia pages, where there is relevant information about these people. Unfortunately, it seems the links were not properly formatted.
Would you be able to assist with correcting this? We would greatly appreciate any help in ensuring that links to Russian Wikipedia are correctly displayed, or alternatively, we can remove the Cyrillic titles if that is preferred.
As for the neutrality concern, our goal is to provide a balanced view of the article. We did not intend to remove any criticism or promote Pravda.ru as a 'trustworthy and independent news source' beyond what the sources support. The edits were made with the intention of improving the article, and I apologize if it seemed otherwise.
By 'we,' I am referring to myself and a colleague who is working on this article with me. We are not connected to Pravda.ru in any way and are committed to maintaining neutrality Topsmi (talk) 15:55, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just restore the previous links. Links should go to the English articles, if they exist. Sjö (talk) 16:01, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, now I have seen that the link to Konstantin Konstantin (politician) has been completely unreasonably changed. I corrected it, thanks for the comment. Topsmi (talk) 16:09, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding the previous content in the article, all prior claims were left intact, except for the mention of 'Pravda.ru' being owned by the company 'Pravda.Ru' (which could not be confirmed by reliable sources). The information that Inna Novikova is the editor-in-chief was updated to align with the details available on Pravda.ru's founders page: https://english.pravda.ru/founders.html.
In any case, these changes can be verified by reviewing the article’s edit history and sources Topsmi (talk) 16:01, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
