Your account has been blocked indefinitely because it is being used only for vandalism. Furthermore, your username is a blatant violation of our username policy, meaning that it is profane, threatens, attacks or impersonates another person, or suggests that your intention is not to contribute to the encyclopedia. Please see our blocking and username policies for more information.

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, but users are not allowed to edit with accounts that have inappropriate usernames, and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, or would otherwise like to explain why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the following text to the bottom of your user talk page: new username HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:18, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate and confirm that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

Once you have decided on the article you will propose improvements to:

    1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
    2. Copy the portion of the prose from that article that you will be proposing changes to. However:
      • do not copy the "infobox" from the start of the article (i.e., markup like this: ...),
      • do not copy any image placement code (i.e., markup like this: ),
      • do not copy the page's categories from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: ),
      • and do not copy the stub tag (if there) from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: Foo stub);
    3. Click edit at your talk page and paste at the bottom under a new section header (like this: == Article title ==) the copied content but do not save yet;
    4. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and paste there an edit summary in the following form which specifies the name of the article you copied from and links to it (this is required for mandatory copyright attribution): "Copied content from exact Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution."
    5. You can now save the page. However, if your edits have any citations to reliable sources (which they should), add the following template to the end of your prose: reflist-talk. Once you have added the template, click Publish changes.
  • Now, edit that content. Propose significant and well researched improvements by editing the selected portion of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking using unblock and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will hopefully improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.
If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "your question here ~~~~" to your talk page. Thank you. Yamla (talk) 13:14, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I did not know the username ettiquette, I want to change my name. Poopy mcmanface (talk) 04:00, 5 October 2024 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. Your username is now changed. However, I have strengthened your block due to your  Confirmed sockpuppetry with TheletterKisobjectivelyagoodletter. This will make it much, much harder for you to ever be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 11:11, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a bit concerned that you apparently needed to know it was a rule to not reference a bodily function in your username in order to not do so- would you walk into a bar and announce your name as that? In any event, your choice of new username would be fine. Your username is not the only issue here, you need to address your vandalism. Yamla left you a process in order to demonstrate a substantive edit(more than fixing spelling or grammar) you would make to an article of your choosing. Are you explicitly declining to use that process? If so, that will likely count against you in your unblock request. 331dot (talk) 08:04, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Im trying to fix this first and then the process Yamla sent, I just thought it would be funny to name myself this. Poopy mcmanface (talk) 08:09, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it's rare for a person to think "I'm going to name myself something funny and stupid just for the sake of being silly" because that normally isnt a rule that is enforced by other websites, a person would'nt expect a name like Glitterfart to be banned but instead one that includes swear words or slurs, I don't think if you came into a walkway and said "What are they Wikipedia username policies?" I don't think "No references of a bodily function" would be their first thought.
I understand about the vandalism, I get that I can't edit links anymore because of my descision, Obviously I can't make something up from a untrusted website like Quora, but the name, I want to change the name. Because I realized that it was not a good name. Poopy mcmanface (talk) 08:21, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've now renamed you. 331dot (talk) 08:35, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much! ThereIsNotABoat (talk) 09:22, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: Your reason here ~~~~. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
