Mick Farren

[edit]

I've never known Farren to ride a bike. I've only known him personally since 1970, but I don't think there's anything in Give The Anarchist A Cigarette either. Even if he did there's no way he's famous for it. Wwwhatsup 04:21, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stars

[edit]

The guy, I forget his name, who wrote the recent Mojo article on the band spent 2 years or so exhaustively following up every lead he could and could not even come up with a decent photo let alone a tape. There was a eccentric older guy, Victor, who followed the band around photographing and taping everything. Apparently he died in 1975 and the landlord chucked all his stuff. If something was out there it would have showed by now. Wwwhatsup 04:21, 1 October 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Still double tagging

[edit]

Ahoy, Satyrbot still seems to be double tagging. Or maybe you only just shut it down? [1]. The Parsnip! 03:44, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Parsnip! That was part of the October 1st error. The bot has been shut down. Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 04:32, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

[edit]

...for the work you've done on the Steve Dahl article. Jauerback 14:19, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, fantastic work. It's really starting to look like a biography. WinSmith 16:14, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Lori dann mugshot.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lori dann mugshot.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:06, 10 October 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Congrats on finding a good rephrasing. Not always easy, but you succeeded from my perspective! --Slp1 02:34, 13 October 2007 (UTC) [reply]

I have reversed your recent edits to Foie Gras Controversy article. They can either be viewed as carrying flawed logic or POV. Specifically -

  • the ban was not a result of "46.000 pounds of Foie Gras was sold in 2006" (which implies that the number is somehow notable - presumably because it was outrageously large for this specific year);
  • the Council itself has nothing to do with actually punishing violators, it's not their duty;
  • the "clearly animal cruelty" statement is an opinion of one of the Council members, not the opinion of the Council.

[edit]

Thanks, Parsnip!, for pointing that out! I'll see if I can figure out what's causing that question mark. Much appreciated! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 20:26, 23 October 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Del shannon.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Del shannon.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:48, 27 October 2007 (UTC) [reply]
