[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. [edit]Hi there - I think you’ve seen that article really isn’t much open for discussion, and hope you didn’t take it personally. Thanks for trying to improve things. Again, for what it is worth, I offer the consolation that by starting out the way it does folks will be able to see it as it is. Cheers Markbassett (talk) 08:03, 15 March 2025 (UTC)
- Maybe I just chose the wrong place to start, but if that is the typical experience, I doubt I'll bother in the future. Thataintworking (talk) 13:30, 15 March 2025 (UTC)
- It is not the typical experience, but there are contentious articles where folks feel strongly or have some odd quirk. Wikipedia is after all volunteer editors, and people have opinions and quirks. In general wikipedia does pretty good, and it’s kind of amazing wikipedia works at all. Cheers Markbassett (talk) 17:51, 15 March 2025 (UTC)
