Inappropriate edits from multiple accounts
[edit]
Hello Swirlex, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In perusing your edit history, it appears that you are using multiple accounts to make inappropriate edits. This is called sock puppetry. While there are legitimate uses for having multiple accounts, using them to circumvent policy or to cause disruption can lead to a block of all accounts and IP addresses involved. Please mark your alternate accounts per the description at Wikipedia:Sock puppetry#Alternate accounts or alternatively you may tag them with {{Db-userreq}} to have them deleted. Thank you. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 06:07, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

- Moving conversation back here for continuity per the instructions in my talk page's header. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 19:17, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- I am not a sockpuppet and you don't have proof. Yes I was leaving notes on user mater whatevers userpage because this user was new and asked me to make a userbox. Swirlex 16:47, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again. Thank you very much for writing to me on my talk page. I hope you don't mind that I've moved our conversation back here. It makes it much easier for everyone to follow the conversation. Also, I'd appreciate it very much if you'd not archive a conversation before we're done with it. Again, it makes it hard to follow what is going on. Thanks!
- Also, you might not realize that you don't need to make a separate archive box for each archive. Please read the instructions at Template:Archive box.
- Back to the subject at hand. I wasn't writing to you about Materbug (talk · contribs) in particular, although that account's being inappropriate by not realizing that Wikipedia is not a social networking site. There are a number of other accounts where your and their mutual editing patterns are disturbing:
- Zapsteel (talk · contribs) has made disruptive edits. Why would you make this edit to his/her account less than 24 hours after you opened yours when s/he never contacted you?
- Marvelzombies (talk · contribs) has made disruptive edits. Why did you edit his/her userpage starting less than 24 hours after you opened yours when s/he never contacted you? Why did s/he sign this edit as Zapsteel? Why would you create his/her userpage when s/he never contacted you?
- Dragon6473 (talk · contribs) made no edits besides creating his/her userpage. How did you even find this user who only had a single edit to make a comment on their user talk page?
- Wikipedia1011 (talk · contribs) same as above.
- Venom Spiderman (talk · contribs) same as above.
- Jorge man (talk · contribs) same as above.
- Mystical parrot (talk · contribs) made disruptive edits. Why did you edit his/her userpage when they never contacted you? How did you find him/her when s/he never interacted with you?
- Chin Man2 (talk · contribs) nothing disruptive from this editor, but why did you blank his userpage and how did you find him?
- Dreamrelease2254 (talk · contribs) not really disruptive, just needed to learn the rules around here. However, why did both you and Zapsteel edit that user's userpage?
- Supernerd 10 (talk · contribs) may be the master account. Mostly constructive edits, though there's a personal attack on Dreamrelease2254.
- RITZ (talk · contribs) you vandalized his user page when the dispute was with Supernerd 10.
- 75.219.26.100 (talk · contribs) edited your user page, Dreamrelease2254's user page, Supernerd 10's user page and RITZ's user page. A WHOIS inquiry shows it as a Verizon Wireless cellular Internet dynamic IP address. An uncommon ISP, as I know personally because I use that ISP myself.

- There's plenty more, but I'm tired of rooting around right now. I'm going to ask you again to please follow the rules. Either mark the master & sub accounts or request their deletion as I described in my first note. There are more than enough policy violations to have all the accounts and IP addresses blocked if I'm forced to report this to WP:SSP. I have no doubts that you can be a very useful editor, but you need to follow the rules. Thank you very much. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 19:17, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
