Issues with Iljhgtn

[edit]

First of all, I wanted to thank you for handling my case the other day, where you suppressed a vaguely threatening comment on Trs9k's user page where Iljhgtn mentioned my city and state (I changed my username in response to that event - I was gcollins94).

The "beef" between us seems to center around some editing issues I've raised in the talk page of Cody Wilson's article. He's launched countless bogus "warning" templates on my page and is now seemingly following my activity by the minute.

Even though I explained how what he did bothered me, and even though I've explained that I don't appreciate the constant angry postings to my user page - he doesn't feel a need to stop, not even after being warned for harassment.

I launched a RfC case the other day on Talk:Cody Wilson (before this he seemed to want to reach "consensus" on changes to the page, yet he has not contributed to that discussion. only in private, away from scrutiny, and with quibbles and accusations of my supposed policy violations).

Full transparency: I am a new editor, and he knows this. His latest "warning" to me is apparently over canvassing for the RfC -- I can only imagine this has to do with the discussion I had on Trs9k's page, but that was before I posted the RfC. In fact, posting the RfC was a learning process in of itself to me. I haven't been "advertising" it anywhere - so it's quite baseless to me.

Regardless, I've told him I want him to stop these interactions. If I were in his position, even if I thought I was fully in the right, I'd be taking a step back. Yet he doesn't seem to care.

I left his post up on my Talk page. Thank you for any assistance you can give. Wasn't sure if this was the right process to deal with it. Bgx14 (talk) 19:34, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I've responded via IRC - as I don't have the mental capacity to take this on at the moment, I've given pointers towards WP:DWH and WP:RUCD. stwalkerster (talk) 20:49, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I address this concern more fully here in my most recent comment in a Teahouse post. Iljhgtn (talk) 04:22, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
