[edit] Hi Gcollins94! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Cody Wilson and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 15:29, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four You're right, that was probably inappropriately tagged as minor. I had made a larger edit before that, but realized I made an error with the Judge's name. Looking at it now, I think that's also when I removed another line from my earlier edit that I felt was a bit superfluous. But that's not quite a typo, so I apologize! It appears that you have been
canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence Talk:Cody Wilson. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Thank you. - I have no idea what you're referring to to here, but I asked you once to refrain from posting to my talk page. I suppose it's from the discussion on Trs9k's talk page - where you were warned by an administrator for harassment for your conduct - I understand that you're invested in this issue, but please stop. Bgx14 (talk) 19:12, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- and for the record, the discussion on Trs9k's page - which wasn't addressed to you - wasn't an invitation to "come to the article talk page" - I wasn't discussing or proposing changes to the article at all, at that point. I was trying to discuss your conduct. I did that away from the article talk page because it would have been inappropriate to have the conversation there. You were there though (surprise), and this was days ago. So it's a bit precious that you're drumming up another bogus "notice" on my page.
- Plus, again: you were there. Why didn't you raise the issue then, rather than sending vaguely threatening messages, posting my city and state? Do you really think someone who is engaging in that sort of behavior is being rational? Do you really think what you're doing here, right now, with the full context of my everything that has happened, is appropriate? How many notices have you written up on my account, anyway? Why is it, exactly, that you're following my contribution log so closely? Can you really not appreciate why all of this has made me uncomfortable?
- It's curious how you seem to have such an investment in this, yet you won't participate in the substantive conversations on the actual article talk page. Instead you'll berate, on my user profile, where you think you'll receive less scrutiny -- after you have already been warned for harassment.
- Just stop it man. Even if you think you're in the right here, it should be clear that it's best to let someone else handle it. It's simply inappropriate to keep doing this. Bgx14 (talk) 20:08, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
