This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Muslim Gujjars has been reverted.
Your edit here to Muslim Gujjars was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://research-advances.org/index.php/RAJMSS/article/view/436, https://doi.org/10.21013/jmss.v4.n2.p8 (redirects to research-advances.org/index.php/RAJMSS/article/view/436)) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Spyjockstrap. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Arshad Heelaman, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Please fully disclose your connection with Arshad Heelaman. Thank you. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 18:55, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This is quite funny, the guy has 50k followers on Facebook and is known in his community which is very small FYI (Gujar). Spyjockstrap (talk) 19:09, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have no connections with the said individual, I don't gain anything by creating his article and I don't think he will too. He is from a minority group in Afghanistan who are marginalised and often overlooked. I saw there are not many known figures of Afghan Gujars on Wikipedia and decided to create a page for him, since he is well known in the general Gujar community, who themselves are a minority group in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan. For such small groups as his, who are normally nomads in Afghanistan, there is not going to be a whole lot of coverage about them. Spyjockstrap (talk) 19:27, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Hello!

I have noticed that you have been marking your edits as "minor". A minor edit has a specific meaning on Wikipedia: A good rule of thumb is that only edits consisting solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of the content may be flagged as minor edits. For example, in these two edits [1] [2] you have added content to the article.

If you're unsure whether to mark an edit as minor or not, it's best to err on the side of caution and not mark it as minor. Whether an edit is marked as minor or not does not make a material difference when it comes to the end result of the page. Minor edits are not subject to content dispute and are often ignored by editors revieweing recent changes for vandalism.

Marking non-minor edits as minor is frowned upon on Wikipedia because it may be seen as an attempt to hide vandalism, although in your case it is clear it was done in good faith and I don't think anyone will suspect you of being a vandal.

Information icon Hello! I'm Belbury. I just wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to the page Busy Bees Nurseries have been reverted because they appear to have added incorrect information. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source, discuss it on the article's talk page, or leave me a message on my talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Busy Bees acquired these other companies, they were not acquired by them. Belbury (talk) 16:20, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Right, my mistake, thank you for that. Spyjockstrap (talk) 13:55, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Anshuman Magazine. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. See MOS:OVERLINK. CodeTalker (talk) 18:15, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
