Self-melting ice road paving structure
[edit]The invention belongs to the technical field of transportation engineering and particularly relates to a self-melting ice road paving structure which is directly paved on a road surface having an ice melting requirement. The invention mainly solves the problems of the existing road ice removing technology that the icebreaking efficiency is low, and the original structure of the road is destroyed easily. The self-melting ice road paving structure has the technical scheme that firstly, a rubber sheet with the diameter of 3-5 cm and the thickness of 0.5-1 cm is fabricated; secondly, the existing road surface is cleaned, and an epoxy pitch waterproof bonding layer is sprayed; thirdly, the raw materials are horizontally and uniformly distributed on the waterproof bonding layer of the road surface in a single layer; fourthly, granule type epoxy pitch concrete is paved, and the ratio of the paving thickness to the thickness of the rubber sheet is required to be not less than 2 because the calculated thickness of the existing road is 1-2 cm. Compared with the prior art, the invention has the advantages of good ice melting effect, long service life, simple construction method, environment protection, no pollution and wider application range.
1.Background
In winter accidents always happen on snow and ice covered pavements, which brought serious influence and great loss on life and wealth to normal traffic .During the Spring Festival in 2008,Guizhou,Hunan,Yunan and Guangdong Province suffered a strong snow damage and many expressways and airports were forced to be closed, which resulted in huge economic losses. According to authority department’s statistics, the direct economic losses caused by ice-covered payments have surpassed 100 hundred million Yuan each year. To ensure road and traffic safe and unblocked, minimize traffic accidents in winter, raise highway capacity and business effectiveness, strong and high-effective measures must be taken to remove ice & snow on the road. There are already many full developed ice removing technologies nowadays, but almost all of them are with some kind of shortages: Chemical method--the widely used salt and Snow Melting Agent produced serious pollution but with low snow removal efficiency; mechanical (plowing or scraping) method or manual snow removal always involve high expenses and risks but also poor efficiency; other anti-icing technology including heating-power, wetted salt and anti-icing pavement are technically immature.
Distinct from above-mentioned method, environment-friendly self-melting road pavement is a new active ice-melting technology. The main principle is by sticking intelligent temperature-control snow-melting substances to road surface. In cold snowing days, the paint-coat anti-icing can melt road snow and prevent the pavement from icing to ensure the resistance for wet traction. Comparing with other technology, environment-friendly self-melting road pavement has obvious advantages not only on ice&snow removal effectiveness but also on economic budget. Meanwhile this new technology showed perfect performance on the indispensable key quota in snow removal—environment protection. Test result shows that it meets completely the technical requirements of current Chinese Standard and performs much better than similar technology. This leading technology’s invention had brought bran-new solutions for self-melting.

3.Working principle
