Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Medals

[edit]

Stop disturbing the medal templates of players. The 1st and 2nd medals are there for a reason. Do not change and disrupt pages to suit your agendas or you will be blocked. OCDD (talk) 08:24, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

But using 1st and 2nd is for Medal Competitions. I am using Winner and Runner up because they are not Medal Competitions, that's it. Shreyeditz (talk) 06:13, 18 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Medals are still given to the winners and runners up. The medal template is supposed to have medals. For cricket, its 1st and 2nd medals. OCDD (talk) 18:10, 19 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Medal specific competitions have gold and silver. Others have 1st and 2nd because positions are in every sport. OCDD (talk) 18:11, 19 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the clarification. Shreyeditz (talk) 07:12, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Totals

[edit]

Please do not add totalcaps and totalgoals for active players. Kante4 (talk) 18:37, 18 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sunil Chhetri, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Intercontinental Cup. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 20:00, 18 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! ScrabbleTiles (talk) 07:38, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your suggestion, i appreciate that. Shreyeditz (talk) 07:44, 29 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
