Shouldn't the first sentence contextualize the topic?

I personally know nothing about the second biggest stadium in Manchester but I'm sure everybody in Manchester knows that Ethiad (or whatever) is the second largest stadium in Manchester. I don't how to write that sentence in Basic English (British) but I think its good to point out early that Manchester City Stadium is or isn't the largest stadium in manchester. You know, manchester? Per MOS:ABBR, Do not assume that your reader knows the acronym or abbreviation you are using. As for your other point, while it would potentially be good to point out, the opening already mentions how it's the sixth largest stadium in the Premier League and the eleventh largest in the United Kingdom.
