A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Salamandra Animation and Design, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. [edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I understand that the page I created appeared to promote Salamandra's services. I'd like the opportunity to amend this by sharing information on the studios work and commpany culture that will enrich and support other animators and designers. I would also like to show Salamandra's unique position in the animation industry as a female lead company with an all female office in Scotland. The history of the company is particularly unique and the CEO has an increadibly interesting jouney. Given the opportunity to re write this page, I will keep it factual and ensure the studios services are not being promoted

Decline reason:

You have not proposed an acceptable username, please review the username policy. Accounts are for individuals only, and the username must reflect that. The username does not need to be your real name. Your user page is not article space, but a place for you as an individual to introduce yourself to the Wikipedia community in the context of your Wikipedia use. Regarding your edits; Wikipedia is not a place for companies to tell the world about themselves. This is an encyclopedia, where articles about companies(in this case) must only summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage say about the company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. Wikipedia is not interested in what a company wants to say about itself or what it considers to be its own history, Wikipedia is only interested in what others completely unconnected to a company say about it. Please review conflict of interest and paid editing. If your only goal here is to tell the world about your company, this is the end of the road for your Wikipedia career. If you want to be an individual, general contributor and edit about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, please tell what those might be along with your agreement to not edit about your company. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 11:34, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
