Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, website, or role, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Salvio giuliano 16:59, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I understand the reasons for the block. I was creating a page for Vincent Tremeau, a notable humanitarian photographer, and failed to clearly disclose that I’m affiliated with the subject. I will fully follow Wikipedia’s paid contribution disclosure policy and keep a neutral point of view moving forward.
My goal is to submit a verifiable, neutral, and well-sourced biography draft, based strictly on reliable third-party sources. I have no intention of using Wikipedia for promotion or advertising.
Please unblock my account and change the username to HumanityEditorVT so I may resubmit the article properly.

Administrators should consider discussing any unblock with the blocking administrator (see the blocking policy).

Your username needs to represent you as an individual. Your proposed username is borderline, so I won't decline the unblock request, but at the same time I won't rename you. Could you consider something like "Joe Bloggs at Humanity"? PhilKnight (talk) 16:14, 23 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi PhilKnight, thanks for your feedback! Sure, my initials are SB, S Blogs at Humanity would work, you think? 109.38.151.184 (talk) 19:12, 23 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
or simply SBlogs? 109.38.151.184 (talk) 19:13, 23 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just to reiterate: I understand the importance of neutrality and transparency on Wikipedia. I will disclose any relevant affiliations on my user page and follow all community guidelines, including those related to paid or connected editing. My intention is simply to contribute accurate, well-sourced content in good faith, starting with the article on Vincent Tremeau, which I will ensure meets Wikipedia’s standards.
So please feel free to suggest me any user name that would work. I am ready to also provide you with any further information. Thank you again for your time and support. Studio Humanity (talk) 21:12, 23 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have renamed your account. A different uninvolved admin will review your unblock request. PhilKnight (talk) 03:02, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much. Regarding the article, is there anyone I can consult to make sure it is all tip top to be published? 2001:B07:6466:DC8A:4821:297F:2EBF:636D (talk) 10:10, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know of anyone to consult, but a brief scan indicated it lacked secondary sources. PhilKnight (talk) 01:24, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thank you for your help in updating my user name. I still see my account being blocked. Is this the case? S Blogs at Humanity (talk) 12:43, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you are blocked and waiting for a review of your unblock request. PhilKnight (talk) 01:24, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there! Could you please review Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline, then add a COI-disclosure below? Before unblocking, someone can move it to your userpage. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:28, 29 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
