[edit]Im gonna link you the section and bold the section I'm referring to so that you know what you're doing is redundant.
Death
[edit]On February 25, 2017, Paxton died at the age of 61 from what was initially reported as being complications following heart surgery.[1][2] A representative for the family released the following statement to the press on February 26:
It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery. A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker. Bill's passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family's wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.[3]
On March 6, 2017, Paxton's cause of death was officially revealed as being a stroke resulting from complications from his heart and aorta surgery that he underwent on February 14, 2017.[4]
He is interred in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
You're changing the sentence to not reflect the stroke and just the initial declaration prior to an autopsy. I kept the bit about "complications from surgery" because that's how it was initially reported. 11 days later was when the stroke was revealed as COD. Rusted AutoParts 06:48, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

Jesus fucking Christ I am done trying to contribute to this project. I took this photo, you fucking idiots. Enjoy your byzantine pretzel logic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robshort (talk • contribs)
- @Robshort: We have no way of knowing you are the photographer. All we know is that this is an image from the university profile page which is copyrighted. If you still wish to use this image, you will need to show you are the copyright holder, and are releasing it under a free license. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. -- Whpq (talk) 15:12, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
- Robshort, calm down! I get you're angry, but snapping at us is no way to solve the problem. We just need you to prove you hold the copyright. Even if you do have the rights to upload the image, getting angry with us and calling us names will just result in you getting in trouble. Ali Beary (talk!) 15:24, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit] Hello Robshort! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 03:58, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
