ERP

[edit]

You keep using ERP, but I don't believe the populus knows what that means. Can you provide the proper link or at least expand this abbreviation? Mrendo 8 July 2005 01:35 (UTC)

Dance Music artists

[edit]

Hi there, I meant to message you earlier, but I just wanted to say thank you for contributing to the dance music project I'm working on regarding #1 artists, etc. In case you hadn't noticed, I've modified a bunch of your articles for minor grammatical stuff (like putting a space before parentheticals... like this one!). Anyhoo, again I appreciate the input! Keep up the good work.  :)

Your contributions are full of mistakes. And I don't mean grammatical, I mean in some cases you completely made up an artist's first name. I've noticed "Rob Falcon" when referring to "Ralph Falcon", "Chris Sosa" when referring to "Carlos Sosa", "Larry Fontana" in place of "Lenny Fontana" and a non-existing "Kenny Gordon" where it should have read "Karen Gordon" (who was not even part of that group -- Da Mob). Please check your sources or visit Discogs. --Pc13 17:20, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Please watch your stubs! Hi Robert, please pay attention when placing solo artists into categories, for example if you were to put Mariah Carey into "female singers" you need to type it as "Category:Female singers|Carey, Mariah" so that the name is properly alphabetized on the category page. Thanks! -- eo 13:42, 23 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

re: KKOB, I just wanted to let you know that category links should be in square brackets rather than curly ones. If you use the curly brackets, then what actually happens is that the text of the category page is added to the article, rather than the article being added to the category. Bearcat 17:14, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please don't add "List of radio stations in (state)" articles to both Category:Radio stations in the United States and the individual state subcategories; Wikipedia rules around categorization are that we don't simultaneously file an article in both a category and subcategories of the first category. An article should only be filed in the narrowest appropriate categories that don't duplicate each other. Bearcat 17:20, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Robert A. Moore! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 6 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Alana (singer) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

A tag has been placed on Jason Walker (musician), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. A tag has been placed on Jason Walker (musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
