Information icon Hello, I'm JeffSpaceman. I noticed that you recently removed content from Draft:Lucan, Ireland without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Edit requests

[edit]

Hello. Please don't "copy and paste" the ENTIRE content of an article as part of an edit request. As you did here and again here. And has already been noted in the response here. Per WP:MAKINGEREQ, please try to "[m]ake [edit] requests as short, well formatted, and simple as possible". With, as per the examples given on the WP:EDITREQ page, a simple statement of what you propose to change. And why. (Copy/pasting the entire content of an article on to its Talk page is not necessary or appropriate. And, quite frankly, is near impossible for anyone to review and therefore highly unlikely to result in any actual change.) Thanks. Guliolopez (talk) 17:04, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Refs / Edit summaries / Talk

[edit]

Hi. There are multiple reliable (and several authoritative) sources which refer to Clondalkin as a "suburban village". Including the South Dublin County Council Framework Plan for Clondalkin (2011). Which is directly linked/referenced in the lead. In terms of:

  • WP:VER and WP:BURDEN - If you have another reference which supports the change you want to make, then please provide it. Otherwise the existing reference doesn't support the change.
  • WP:BRD and WP:CON - If you have made a "bold" change, and it has been reverted, it is generally expected that you engage with other editors to discuss your proposed changes. There are multiple threads open in the related articles. And elsewhere.
  • WP:ES - If you are making edits, they should be explained (and ideally supported/justified) in an edit summary.
